Excellent fish and chips for a song in an old-school shop staffed by hard-working people! We felt like we were experiencing the real Halifax, not plastic tourism - a place with strong community ties.
FINALLY tried this place! Most unassuming, undercover diner ever! As soon as you enter, it is like walking back in time. Friendly mom and pop team greet and serve you. Old fashioned diner meals at great prices. Will be back!

The food portions were big, hot and fresh. I can't get over how good the gravy was...they said that they use a pickling spice in the original recipe that passed down from the first owners. All these little details are so important....
