Just had the absolute pleasure of spending my birthday at Martin’s Kitchen with my family! The food was spectacular from start to finish! I would highly recommend the Trio platter appetizer and my Thai Haddock was amazing! Finished it up with the Gingerbread cake (absolutely delightful). The staff are very friendly and attentive and the golf course it sits on has wonderful views! My new favourite spot!

We enjoyed a beautiful, candlelit dinner consisting of the Valentine's Special for Two~ 20oz Prime Rib with a large beef rib. We had the Tuna Tartare as a shared appetizer and ended with a tasty dessert. (I do not recall the name and it is not on the regular menu)
Our total bill was $125.00 before tip.
Our waitress, Adrian, was very kind, humorous, and patient with us, while explaining our options. She is definitely an asset to this restaurant.
This was our first visit and will not be our last.

Appetizers were a mixed bag, while the tuna tartare was excellent, with amazing texture and flavor, the calamari was disappointing due to an overpowering sauce that masked the natural taste.

Drinks were great, but the mains fell short. The lamb and seafood pasta were both drowned in sauce, overshadowing the ingredients and leaving an unpleasant aftertaste.

Overall, the excessive use of sauce and the quality of the dishes don’t match the prices they’re aiming for. Decent food, but the value isn’t quite there.

A little pricey, especially the drinks. The food and service were top notch. I ordered a blue motijto. No blueberries, one mint leaf, wasn't the best, the drink didn't justify the price. But I will be back..

Best food in Halifax!

We ordered trio platter and chicken wings for the appetizers and it was amazing, especially the sauce on the wings. For main I ordered the lamp chop Risotto, which again was amazing!

This place is a hidden gem, and hope it stays the same.

We really had high hopes for this one because of all the reviews. The appetizer ribs were not fall off the bone. It was actually hard cutting into them to get any of the meat, and they were fatty, and not in a good way. The server must have known this because she didn’t even ask if I liked them just took them away when she saw I wasn’t eating them anymore. For the (Main), we ordered the fillet mignon with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables, and honestly the cut of meat looked like a Salisbury steak, and tasted similarly. My friend and I looked at each other at the same time, trying to cover our stunned look. We were not impressed. The roasted vegetables were more like a garnish, and the mashed potatoes, well, boxed at best. The meal was not what we were expecting and the service was just OK. Pleasant, but again with the reviews and the location and the amazing atmosphere, the expectation was a little higher for four or five star service, especially considering the prices. Finally, the space where we were in, while beautiful, was like an open cavern so you could barely hear or have a conversation, and we were sitting right next to one another. I’m hoping we just had a bad night. Venue is a five, everything else, a 1.

Fantastic food, what a chef!! A tiny bit pricey, but the quality of the meal makes up for it.
Decor was interesting, with an international theme. Very nice.

We'll look very much forward to returning again soon.

I loved the atmosphere. However, our table was tucked away by the kitchen and didnt feel like part of the dinning area. The food was so delicious that I'll just have to return and try to get a better seat. Overall it was a lovely experience
