We used to be regulars here and always had good experiences, so we chose this restaurant to celebrate my best friend’s birthday after some time away. Unfortunately, this visit fell short of what we remembered. Parking was extremely difficult because of the nearby golf traffic, and when we finally sat down, our reservation wasn’t honored and we were placed outside in a corner. The milk we ordered for a toddler first had bugs, then black specks, and the third cup only arrived after another reminder about 15 minutes later — and it is $7 for that small glass of milk. My drink was forgotten until I asked, and when it finally arrived, the server spilled on my phone as it was rushed over. We also found a hair in our appetizer after a long wait, so it had to be sent back again. All food took very long to arrive, yet my plate was almost taken away after I clearly said I was not done yet.
On top of the service issues, the food itself wasn’t as good as it used to be and no longer felt worth the price. I still chose to leave a tip (for the restaurant I liked), but overall the experience was very disappointing for a special occasion. We’ve had many good meals here in the past, but sadly, this visit has left us unlikely to return.

What a great meal. Food was amazing, great flavours and excellent service. Server recommended the bisque.. and what a great bowl of tomato soup….so flavourful. The whole meal was wonderful.

Amazing atmosphere, food was delicious. Our server, Holly was friendly, funny and so helpful when I was having a hard time deciding because there were so many options I was looking at. I was lucky enough to meet Martin himself and he was so gracious and friendly.

The food was good but service was problematic. The server took a very long time to take our order for drinks and for food. After mains were finished, she basically refused to give us dessert menus because we were 5 minutes away from 2 hours that they block the table for. It was not our fault that we were not seated promptly (4 pm reservation), or that the server did not bother to take orders quickly. Being rushed out - we were celebrating a life event for one person in our party - was unpleasant. Re atmoshpere: it was hot, no AC, the curtains did not block the sun. Noise level was high. I heard a lot of good things about this place but my honest opinion it is work in progress.

I was disappointed in the food and service at Martin’s Kitchen last evening. I had been several times before with good service and good food. Last evening I had a reservation for 4 for my daughter in laws birthday. We were a couple minutes early but seated immediately. Then, waited 25 minutes before my son went and asked what was the problem. The hostess apologized and sent a waitress to take our order. Food came quickly but was overcooked. The tenderloin burger tasted nothing like in the past. I had 2 mushroom slices and 1/2 piece of bacon (I had to look because I thought they were missing). My husband’s fish was overdone. It was too loud to even talk at the table. Not a good experience.

Amazing evening celebrating our daughter's birthday. The staff were fantastic. The food second to none. Not a single bite was left on anyone's plate and everyone had something different. The trio appetizer plate was devoured. We will be back soon.
