Situated right off the water, nestled right into the Keltic Lodge, great place to eat and enjoy the view. Very loud place, I'd recommend going to the lounge area. There was live music there and is much less crowded. Attentive staff, great food and drink selections. Suitable for all ages.
Great breakfast place! Buffet is a good value. Sweet sausage links, tasty blueberry pancakes, thin sliced fried bacon, fresh flakey apple turnovers, more.
We were surprised by the horrible service in the restaurant. We made dinner reservations for 6:30 on the patio with our friend and our 2 dogs. There was only one person working outside and the patio was busy. When we sat down, we were told we could only get pub food outside. We asked for a menu to see if we wanted to order from it. We had to get it ourselves because the waiter was so busy. We decided to move to the empty dining room, taking our dogs back to our suites, so we could order from the regular menu. At 6:40 pm, my husband was told we couldn't dine there because a tour bus was coming at 8pm. We would have been gone before the bus guests arrived, but we were stunned by their lack of concern and service for their registered guests. They simply didn't care about us.
Delightful dinner at sunset after golf at Highland Links! The view was spectacular and a convenient location with plenty of parking. The Linguine Primaveras was fabulous! Emma was such a wonderful server with a great smile and conversation!
Food was good! Service was very slow.
Easily the worst restaurant we experienced on the Cabot Trail. Menu at the restaurant is different than what’s online. Took two hours to get food. They set the next day’s breakfast buffett up before we received dinner. Definitely AVOID.
We were told there is live music here, so we stopped in for dinner. We found out that the live music is only in the separate lounge. There was elevator music playing in the restaurant that competed with the live music in the lounge. That was disappointing.
Oddly, when we were greeted at the hostess station, we were asked if we had a reservation. We stated that we didn't, and the hostess said she would try to squeeze us in. There are about 25 tables in the dining room, and there were only people sitting at two of them. We got a table for 2 right by the window with a fabulous ocean view. Only a few more people came in while we were eating.
The next disappointment came with the fish & chips. I would not recommend ordering it. The batter was too thick in spots and uncooked and slimy in the middle. See attached photo.
After we ate, we went into the lounge and enjoyed the live music by Chad. That was worth the visit. Bravo, Chad 👏
Good spot to catch some live music at the bar and a drink. Happy hour is good.

Happened to be there for their Thanksgiving buffet. Some of the food was great, but the shrimp were tough, prime rib was cold. Live music was good. For the price I expected better.

We saw the mostly negative reviews for the Arduaine, and decided to check it out anyway for dinner.
I’m so glad we did! The views and atmosphere are obviously breathtaking, the service was friendly and efficient, and our food was excellent!
Fish and chips was a highlight - massive portion, excellent chips and delicious fish. It was perfectly seasoned and moist with a good crispy batter.
Steak was slightly underdone (ordered medium-rare, got rare) and not the greatest cut of meat, but it was perfectly seared and well seasoned with a good mushroom and onion sauce.
The Nashville chicken sandwich was perfectly decent. Nothing to write home about, but well cooked, moist and flavourful.
Apparently ownership and management has changed at some point in the last few years, and it seems like their lunch service may be run differently.
Dinner at the Arduaine, however, was excellent! We’ll definitely be going back next time we’re in Ingonish.
Vegetarian options: Limited, but decent options.
Kid-friendliness: They’ve got a great kids menu.

Amazing setting and views couldn’t make up for the over cooked halibut, their most expensive entree. Service was attentive but the server didn’t know the menu.
