Hi there! My family and I were there for my birthday supper (Sunday, Sept. 22). My boyfriend and I both ended up getting the canadian 150 And I have to say it was the best burger I have ever tasted in my life. It was absolutely delicious, every bite was delish. Thirsty Hiker Pub & Restaurant is a pleasant spot known for its friendly atmosphere and good service. The bartender on Saturdays is especially praised for being super friendly and creating a lively environment with live music. The pub offers cheap drinks and a great vibe, making it a place visitors enjoy returning to. The food, however, tends to be disappointing overall. While the fries are good and the beer is cold, the limited wine and beer selections may leave some wanting more. Main courses such as halibut and surf and turf often fall short; the halibut is overcooked and dry, and the surf and turf includes a thin, cheap steak served medium instead of rare. Side dishes like mashed potatoes are dry and tasteless, and vegetables are often overcooked and unappetizing. Despite these issues, some dishes like the seafood linguini can be tasty if overcooked seafood is not an issue. The restaurant does offer a children's menu and has moments of charm that make it a memorable visit for many.
