The Annex Reviews
nice atmosphere, good service, food was overpriced though. we got the lobster linguine diavola and it was too much tomato sauce, kind of lacking attention to detail. presentation for all foods was nice though. also ordered the halibut which was kind of chewy, not sure if it was over cooked or if it’s just the nature of the fish. i will say though that the fish and chips was probably the best my family has ever eaten, as the haddock fish was made very very crispy and fries...read full review

The Annex offers a delightful dining experience with a mix of creative classics and local seafood favorites. The seafood is amazing, and the atmosphere overlooking the golf course adds to the charm. The chowder is everything expected from a seafood restaurant, and the Clam Buns are very tasty, with the bread absorbing the liquid. The pork belly and scallops are savory, with generous portions that are incredibly filling and cooked to perfection. The outdoor patio offers a beautiful view, especially if the weather is warm, making it perfect for enjoying the scenery. The restaurant provides high-quality food and friendly service, with staff working hard despite understaffing. The seafood dishes are fresh and worth the price, and the overall experience is highly recommended for visitors to Inverness. Although the maritime bouillabaisse received mixed reviews for being underwhelming and not hot enough, the restaurant remains a great choice for seafood lovers.
