Connected to a thrift store you can smell the fresh savoury pies right away. So many options to choose from. We tried the spicy pork pie - it was delicious and the pastry was the perfect balance of flaky and light.

oh wow I am OBSESSED - this is the kind of place that breaks your heart when you're from away, because you can't eat just pies every day :'( The pies, cakes, and drinks are just so good (and everchanging, for the attention-deficient among us) - the hodgepodge was my favourite.
But quite aside from the pies, really what makes this place so special is the genuine hospitality. It's just so *gay* and *aesthetic* and everyone is like the coolest person you've met but in a way that is somehow not horribly intimidating, and the patio's bumping on the weekends with all different kinds of people and they're all having the time of their lives? How could you not. idk man I just love it, if you are in any way deliberating you should just go.

We stumbled upon the Famous Town Pie Shop by accident (and very hungry lol) while exploring Mahone Bay and what a delicious surprise! I was thrilled to learn their crust is vegetarian-friendly. I ordered the Hodge Podge Hand Pie, and honestly, it was probably the best thing I ate on our whole trip...I can’t stop thinking about it! If you’re in Mahone Bay, you absolutely have to make a stop at the Famous Town Pie Shop and experience it for yourself.

Famous Town Pie Shop has left a mark on me. You can’t go wrong with any of their meat pies and their coffee was also a treat. Friendly service and managed a fairly long line of customers with excellence. There’s seating outside their shop for you to enjoy your meal.

Holy cow, this place is a delight. We were staying upstairs from Famous Town, and we spent an obscene amount of money here. Worth every cent. Every single pie we had-spinach and cheese, ginger beef, hodge podge, chicken pot pie, cherry-was phenomenal. We bought a little cake for my partner's birthday and that was both adorable and SO good-there must have been two sticks of butter in there. We also got cake slices, and what do you know, they slapped too.
I even got some cute stationery and miniatures and some rhubarb coulis. Whoever does the graphic design and set up for the shop is killing it. Thank you, Famous Town! It was so nice to pop downstairs to a place where we felt so at home (as queers who love pies, cakes and cute tiny things). Can't recommend it enough.

Jennah Barry is one of my all time favourite singer/songwriters and the fact that her pie shop is excellent is no surprise to me. My coffee was perfect. The Spicy pork and Ginger Beef pies are almost as good as her album, I See Morning, which is a perfect album. I can’t recommend this place or her music enough.
