Salt Box Brewery is a gem. The staff truly make this place what it is. Every time we’ve been here, they’re personable, welcoming, and genuinely kind. It never feels rushed or transactional… it feels like coming home. The first hello to the last pour, you can tell they care, and man this makes all the difference. It’s the kind of place you can settle into, laugh a little longer, and forget about the clock. A must visit spot that never disappoints.We love each visit!

What an excellent stop in charming Mahone Bay. We were a group from out of town and this was one of our highlights of our east coast tour. Friendly and fun staff, superb selection of drinks even for those who don’t drink beer or alcohol. Outstanding live music and welcoming crowd in a marvellous atmosphere!!

Overpriced. $10 for a beer that they sell for $5 a can (which is still very expensive) and they pour it from the same can. 100% mark up is far too much. We have enjoyed the selection from the NSLC, even at the high prices, but will avoid them now because of the outrageous pricing at the brewery.

Very, very expensive. There is a NSLC across the street go there instead and have a beer in the backyard at more than half the cost.
Great ambiance for a quick local pint or a hard Seltzer or cider. We really liked the clemtini and dark beers. Thanks for a good evening, Patrick!

Brewery style pub in Mahone Bay. Excellent craft beer and ciders. Indoor and outdoor seating options in summer months. Even has a food truck parked outside for some yummy treats. Delicious poutine
