The food is always fresh and made with care, and the staff in New Minas are amazing—friendly, welcoming, and happy to accommodate any request. Outstanding service every time. If you haven’t tried the donair poutine yet, you’re missing out!

I visited today for lunch and had the chicken shawarma plate, and it was delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The food is always consistently fresh, and the service is truly outstanding every single time. Highly recommend!

We've been coming here since it opened and have always enjoyed our meal. We always order the Souvlaki Plate for takeout. Since we live 40 minutes away we always ask that the salad and tzatziki are in seperate containers to prevent our food from getting soggy. Apparently there is a new rule and everything gets put together regardless of what the customer requests. Needless to say we won't be coming back and would rather pay more money at Troy to ensure our order is correct.

Just came here with my husband to get shawarmas and they were absolutely terrible , Both sharwarmas were over filled with lettus and barely any chicken. The lady who made them didn’t even put any garlic sauce in them ,also the turnips weren’t even pickled and they were hard as a rock . Your fries taste like they have been soaking in tea bags and are over seasoned . Shawarmas should be served with garlic potatoes not fries Definitely will not be coming back or recommending this place to anyone I know this is no authentic shawarma because I’m from Ottawa and we know what real shawarmas are .

Sadly this place is going downhill. Im not gonna name the staff at counter but she was going on about going home etc. If you do not want to work do not mess my food up, let someone else make it. Almost no sauce, only thing i could see in my bowl was lettuce and same goes for my wrap. The manager or owner needs to look into this attitude of the staff, i am from the food industry myself, setvice and the food was sub-par at best. Thanks

Hi I don’t usually write a review but I was so shocked and disappointed I felt I had to… sorry.. I’ve lived in Ontario for 30 years , love shawarma chicken plates they’re always generous with the chicken….and I must say you definitely need to be a little more generous with the chicken…I don’t appreciate paying 16 dollars for a box full of rice with maybe 5-7 small pieces of chicken in the box that you are barely able to see .you need to be able to see and taste the chicken….if you cannot change that, I won’t be back….
Have ordered chicken shawarma wrap and it was really cold .. even the chicken was cold enough

It was 35 degrees yesterday and the restaurant did not have air conditioning. The kitchen must have been over 40. Several customers left the line as it was too hot to wait, so I can't imagine how the staff was putting in a long shift in that heat. The food was great, the staff were helpful and lovely, which is impressive given the unbearable working conditions. Please get some a/c for the staff and customers!
