“Very quaint small campground right on the water! Beautiful views! Small sandy beach just perfect! Full services but only 20 amp hydro. Plenty of room for our 30ft 5th wheel. Close to Sydney and Glace Bay. Too bad we had rainy cold weather when we were here. Definitely a diamond in the rough. I’d call ahead to reserve in peak season. Cash or etrans only!”

“Best pizzeria style Pizza you will ever have. Lots of toppings and exclusively use Only HORYL'S Pepperoni and also have amazing Subs and Burgers, especially Steak Sub. Own homemade donair meat which makes a great pizza and both super donair (with cheese) and Regular donair all reasonably priced. Best part is 100% locally owned and operated for over 25years.”

“I went to the subway in New Waterford a few days ago. The place was extremely clean, and Kade quickly took my order. I don't know what it is with the way he makes subs, they're just so much better! Best sub I've ever had. 10/10. All of the staff are so nice and patient as well.”

“It was getting late, I didn't feel like cooking and Big Daddy's wasn't answering the phone, so I figured I'd give Fat Boys a try. We ordered a medium combination and 1lb of wings. I would rate the pizza a solid 7/10. The dough was soft and not too thick, a decent amount of sauce, a generous layering of pepperoni, a nice thick layer of cheese and a reasonable smattering of mushrooms and green peppers. Everyone I dealt with from the phone call to pick up was polite and it took less than 20 minutes. I know it's often impossible to get through to Big Daddy's because it's the town favourite, so give Fat Boys a chance, it might surprise you.”

“This has got to be one of the best places I’ve eaten in Sydney in a long time, if not the best. The entire experience from start to finish was amazing. Perfect customer service, delicious food, and fast service. My friend, my husband and I got the meal that serves three. We got chicken, beef, and pork belly, vegetables, kimchi, and other pickled sides as well as the ramen to split. All of us were completely satisfied, all very full and even had leftovers to take home. I’m a very hard person to please when it comes to food, as me and my husband are both chefs but I’m telling you this place is worth driving to from Ingonish. I will 100% be returning.”

The portions were larger than expected and every dish was full of flavour and so perfect. The seafood chowder is to die for - my husband said he wished it was a bottomless bowl. “Absolutely love this local cafe, bakery, breakfast/lunch spot. Soup and sandwiches are always excellent and so many freshly baked treats to choose from! I've been partial to the strawberry or caramel filled puff pastries. Great spot to connect to some wifi and get work done, while enjoying endless tea of coffee that comes with your lunch.”

“My husband found this place online and I was skeptical at first but tonight was the second time we picked up several dishes for takeout and WOW! Just like the first time we are completely and pleasantly surprised at how perfect it was. NO WORD OF A LIE, there was not a SINGLE grain of rice fallen on our plates from any of the dishes. The fish was fresh and the flavours were absolutely explosive. We will DEFINITELY be back. This is our #1 choice for local date night takeout. I’ve esten sushi in every major city in Canada (amd many in the US) and I was impressed with how much attention to detail this place gives. “The Sydney eatery is a highly recommended stop for visitors and locals alike. The environment is warm and inviting. Servers do an excellent job. The seafood chowder and baby back pork ribs were very good. Fish and chips had just a bit too much breading. The Governor's Coffee was excellent.”
