A1 pizza is amazing, and always will be! I've been craving it for the last 7 years since my first try, and I'm so glad they still have the spicy chicken pizza 🥵 please open up a location on the west coast of Newfoundland?

I recently stopped into A-1 Pizza in Port Hawkesbury while on the road coming from Newfoundland, and I am so glad we did! It was easily the best pizza I have had in a long time, making it the perfect highlight for our travel day. From the moment we walked in, the aroma alone told us we were in for a treat, and the food absolutely lived up to the expectations. The crust was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of crisp, and they definitely do not skimp on the toppings or the quality of the cheese.

The experience was topped off by the friendly service and the welcoming atmosphere, which was exactly the kind of comfort we needed after a long stretch of travel. It is rare to find a spot that hits the mark so well, but everything from the flavor profile to the generous portions was spot on. Whether you are a local or just passing through the area like we were, I highly recommend making a stop here if you want a top-tier meal. It was genuinely one of the best dining experiences I've had in ages, and I know exactly where I am stopping the next time I am in Port Hawkesbury!

Great customer service, & good pizza. Been here multiple times over the years. I have also done the hot sauce challenge a few times. Always a good experience. The drive through is a nice feature when in a rush.

If you’re expecting a homemade pizza dough/ crust then this is not the place, at least not the pizza I was served. The pizza is one of those conveyor belt pizzas (you can see it being baked and coming out the other end of the belt when you are at the counter) just like Pizza Hut, Greco or Pizza Delight, it’s not a homemade pizza at all. But it did cost less than I expected to pay, only $28 for an 18 inch with the works. The works was mostly chunks of beef and some sort of hmm ham? , good amount of green pepper but not much else on it. It filled the hole in my belly but again- it’s not an authentic pizza like you would get at most family owned pizza shops so make sure that’s what you want before ordering the pizza.

Can't say that my most recent experience was all that great this time around! The food was good, made to order, hot and fresh but that's where the good stops. The guy at the pickup window was extremely rude, with absolutely no customer service manner whatsoever, looked at me with a blank stare, no hello or anything. Then he asks if we could wait in the back and he would bring out the food, we asked if we could park in the front and just come in. 'Go ahead i don't care, its a free country' was the response we got! Just plain rude which is not a good business move when you got major competition just down the street vying for the business! Just saying!

At a hotel and no utensils were provided. I can't even eat my dessert.

We stopped at A1 pizza on the way back from a full day of hiking in Cabot Trail, and I gotta say this place really hit the spot. Got the 18” pizza + 16” garlic fingers (its a huge cheesy garlic bread pizza, super delicious) and donair sauce. They were very generous with our toppings, and the tomato sauce was flavourful, definitely not your average red sauce. For 4 people, we had more than enough food. We’ve tried lots of different pizza places as we’re from Toronto but A1 Pizza really is true to its name! Will be back!
