Everything I wanted it to be and more. Had a fresh delicious breakfast with super friendly service. Don’t be stupid, buy a jar of Jam. It’s that good.

This is a fantastic place with delicious food and very warm people! Directly off the Trans Canada Trail, it is a haven for cyclists, especially bike tourers who need a break before pushing onto Pictou.

We had already biked 100km with fully loaded touring bikes, and it was getting later in the day so we stopped for an early dinner here (note the restaurant hours are 10-6). Looking at the weather we saw high winds and rain were coming overnight, not ideal for a tent. Without hesitation, Deb herself offered for us to either put up our tent in her sheltered yard or stay in her childhood playhouse on the property with two bunk beds! Such a kind gesture and very appreciated after a long day of cycling. Any long term bike tourer would understand that inside shelter is always a luxury!

The next morning we also had breakfast at Deb’s which was very tasty (loved the French toast!) She also has about 80 varieties of homemade jam and loads of baked goods on site. We would have bought a few if our panniers weren’t already heavy!

Many, many thanks to Deb and her staff for great food and going above and beyond for two tired travelers.

We’re so happy we saw the sign for this hidden gem. The food was delicious and everything was homemade. Just as you’d expect from a little local spot like this. The patio was really nice to sit out on and enjoy breakfast. We walked around and looked at the Garden in the back while we waited. Deb was super friendly! Service was quick and efficient. Coffee was kept topped up! We also bought some homemade jam and chow for the road. When we are traveling in the area again, we’ll make the detour to stop by! Down-to-earth service, great food and a cozy little spot. 10/10!

Worth the drive for a fab homemade burger & carnival ribbon fries. Huge club sandwich. Just like mom’s cooking. Yummy!

Had lunch here today and it was fantastic. Friendly service and a delicious meal. Had the cheeseburger and poutine. One of the best burgers I've had. Also picked up some preserves from Deb's large selection. If you're looking for a friendly place to grab a bite to eat in Scotsburn, Deb's should be on your list.

We were immediately treated like family (the good kind). The food was definitely hearty and yummy: ham, bologna, bacon, AND sausage with eggs, toast, and hashbrowns. So much food.

I couldn't leave without purchasing pastries and dandelion jam (it has a honey flavor) to take with us.

Thank you, Deb, for your wonderful hospitality!

Just a few steps away is A Walk Through Time Museum where we RV boondocked via Harvest Host. Try to make time to visit the museum while you're stopping for a meal. The collection of historical items was mind-blowing, and the hosts were passionate and wonderful to talk with!

Homemade goodness for your meal and an extensive selection of preserves. Add to the hospitality of Deb and her husband and it’s a triple win! First trip there, for breakfast this time, but we’ll be back again.
