The Emerald Light Reviews
I totally enjoyed the friendly hospitality, and the tomato soup & grilled cheese was the BEST I've ever had!!! Generous size and tasty!!
I've been a regular at the Emerald light for a long time now and for a good reason! great menu diversity, service, and for quality! also bring open till 9 really helps in a town where so many places close early or at 7. The staff is friendly, the artwork and decor are to tier.
They even have brunch and an order ahead morning breakfast service that I take advantage of regularly!
If you haven't been yet, you owe it to yourself to check them out!
Food was good (minus kid’s pasta which was overcooked). The waitress though never came back to check on us after we got our food or to refill our water. If it was busy I’d understand but there was only 4 tables in the entire place with a few people at each. Disappointing considering the price.

The Emerald Light is a cozy, moderately-priced restaurant offering unique dishes. The scallops, particularly those served with pork belly, are a standout. The restaurant's design is appreciated by many, including a young guest who finds the details very appealing. Service is friendly and attentive, with staff easily accommodating dietary restrictions and offering vegetarian options like Burrito Bowl and Veggie Tacos, as well as many gluten-free choices. The restaurant is kid-friendly, providing a kids menu, and is accessible via the back door for wheelchair users. Parking is available both on the street and in a parking lot behind the restaurant. Although the small size can sometimes make the space loud, the atmosphere is generally suitable for dates, catching up with friends, or family dinners. The food is consistently good, with highlights such as tomato soup and brisket poutine, and many guests look forward to visiting again, especially in the summer to enjoy the patio. Recent reviews describe delicious nachos with lots of toppings, excellent calamari with attentive service, and a healthy, fresh salmon bowl with chickpeas, edamame, pumpkin seeds, and a wonderful sauce. The staff is welcoming, and the owner is kind and helpful, making it a great spot for travelers seeking a relaxing, locally owned restaurant.
