I totally enjoyed the friendly hospitality, and the tomato soup & grilled cheese was the BEST I've ever had!!! Generous size and tasty!!

I've been a regular at the Emerald light for a long time now and for a good reason! great menu diversity, service, and for quality! also bring open till 9 really helps in a town where so many places close early or at 7. The staff is friendly, the artwork and decor are to tier. They even have brunch and an order ahead morning breakfast service that I take advantage of regularly! If you haven't been yet, you owe it to yourself to check them out!

We ordered calamari and nachos. The nachos were really good lots of toppings and quite delicious. The calamari came and there were some strange batter pieces. We mentioned to the waitress that we were not happy with it. First she said I will take that off your bill, then she came back and said we are going to give you another order of calamari at no charge. It was amazing service

Food was good (minus kid’s pasta which was overcooked). The waitress though never came back to check on us after we got our food or to refill our water. If it was busy I’d understand but there was only 4 tables in the entire place with a few people at each. Disappointing considering the price.

What a delightful surprise this was today. I had the salmon bowl with chickpeas, edamame, pumpkin seeds, vegies and a wonderful sauce. It reminded me of The Ivy in Southern California. Fresh, healthy and fabulous. I will be back!

Arrived for a late meal. Welcoming staff sat us at a nice table out back. Great ambiance. Sampled a couple beers on tap and decided on the Red Ale. Food was delicious. Owner was kind and helpful. Recommend this cozy place for the weary traveller who wants to relax and enjoy a locally owned restaurant.

We found this little gem of a spot while we were working near Shelburne. We liked it so much we came back the following two nights! Everything on the menu that we tried was delicious. Some of our favourite dishes were the brisket poutine, seafood alfredo, and chipotle bacon burger. The atmosphere was refreshing with local artwork hung throughout the restaurant (available for purchase). If you are looking for great quality food, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere we highly recommend stopping in!

My fiends and I can’t say enough about this restaurant and the hospitality we were provided.
We didn’t get names except two young ladies and young gentlemen were completely over the top, David, Gary, Brent, and Jamie !
