“I’m on Cape Breton with my two kids for vacation from Washington, DC. We’re staying in a remote area and came into town to buy groceries, and decided to pop in and try bubble tea. The kids have tried it before, but I hadn’t. The ladies made me a surprise drink. The whole experience was delightful. The hosts were friendly, the tea tasty and fun, and the store was so cute. I’d come again if I ever had the chance. It was just one small adventure on our holiday, but it was a real treat on a rainy day.”

“My family had lunch at Kay’s today. It’s a small restaurant, but so great. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. The service was fast and the food was yummy. Everything was fresh, homemade and delicious. Also, the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Sydney.”

“Time Hortons is a coffee shop. It offers quick service. Light lunches and the best coffee and tea. Also sweets. It's my favorite place for lunch and break time.”

My husband and I frequent all of the locations because we love the atmosphere and the food but we just had our first catering experience with Scott and team and I cannot say enough positive things ! They hosted my Christmas staff party at the Flavor 19 location last weekend and it exceeded expectations. Doug and Michelle were beyond accommodating and so friendly and easy to deal with (as was Scott). They were very accommodating and flexible with the meal choices for such a big group and I have not gotten one negative comment on any of the food served that night. It was set up and decorated so beautifully that it definitely kickstarted the Christmas spirit with our crew! Only negative thing is that we had trouble choosing from all of the mouth-watering options AND it went by too fast and we want to do it all again 😋 🎄 . “The pizza is very, very delicious. I've tried many of their options and have yet to find one that disappoints. The food can be quite expensive, so expect to pay a lot, but it's worth it. They got sports running on tvs around the place to entertain customers while you wait for your food. And you will have to wait, especially if you go when it's busy, but that's the price to pay for made to order, scrumptious food. They do have a lunch menu which adresses that issue, claiming to get your food in 20 minutes or less or it's on them. Have yet to try it.”

“I have been going to this restaurant for years and I have always been satisfied with a fresh sub for lunch. Great staff and service 100% of the time. I did have a small problem at another location in Sydney and casually mentioned it to the kind lady who makes my sub every day. She turned out to be the area manager (I'm not surprised because of her amazing personality) and she was interested in knowing what happened at the other location. I explained to her what took place at the other location and I was more concerned that the employee at the other location was going to get in trouble. She assured me that would not happen and that she would take care of it personally and just coach the other employee. She looked after me and thanked me over and over for my business and input. What an asset to Subway this lady is and I hope the franchise owner knows it but I bet they do. Subway on Charlotte rocks!”

“Lets get the good right out of the way. They arguably have the best poutine on the island; especially so if you enjoy non standard poutines. Their hotdogs are not next level but they're not bad either—they are entirely passable. No complaints.

My complaints come from the service. I ordered a combo from them on Doordash. A combo: a dog, poutine, and a drink. They put my drink in a separate bag from the hot foods which is appreciated but they put the condiments in the bag with the poutine making them warm and disgusting. Why would you do that? Especially when there is a bag with nothing but a cold bottle of pop in it?

On top of that they use wooden forks. Do not eat here if you don't have access to a metal or plastic fork unless you plan to eat entirely with your hands. I know they're good for the environment but they completely change the taste of the food and for the worse.

I took a point off for atmosphere because its in a mall and the food court seats in there are bolted to the ground which is very tacky and lame.”

“I stopped in for breakfast, and this might be the busiest place in town. The service was fast, and the food was fresh and fast. Because of how busy it was, it was a little messy, littered with dishes and food waste. They should definitely build a second floor, get a bigger location.”

“We were looking for a nice place for lunch on our day visit to Sydney from our Silver Shadow Cruise. Initially, we stopped at another restaurant but after waiting over 20 minutes to just get our order we left. Asking a local business person for a suggestion for lunch, it was quickly recommended to go to Olde Triangle. We spotted their sign and saw they had a Lobster Roll Special. We opted to sit inside but later realized that had a nice outdoor setting. This is a very large Pub with that rustic Pub feel. They had Richard's Ale so my husband Richard enjoyed a beer and glass with his name. The Lobster Roll was good! Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming. Inside was not busy, so it was a nice quiet leisurely lunch. In fact walking the street later we saw that the Pub takes an entire street corner. Additionally, there are other Pubs in other cities, including Halifax.”
