Chowder House there is seafood chowder has very little seafood in it. The clams are sliced so thin that maybe there was one clam in there you could see shaved clam in there. Most of it is a milky liquid potatoes a few little chunks. There’s hardly anything in that so once you have it, you will need to go to another place to eat.

Service was spotty , not greeted upon entry , got menu fast , quick order . Ordered coffee taste not good , poor quality , had one taste put on other side of the table opportunity missed by waitress to ask about the coffee just took it away . Ordered eggs Benny poached medium ( it was soft) . Only thing on the plate no hashbrowns or potato or anything else at all . For 16 dollars I would expect more than 2 bennies and thats it . Ordered multi grain toast it was good but very buttery . Ordered a local Irish stout instead of the coffee it was nice . Wasn't finished my meal she brought the bill and the machine , didn't ask are you done ,or if I wanted dessert. The place was fair at best . Not busy at all , guess I expected more for small town cuisine .

We were on our way from Cape Breton to PEI when we spotted this place. I had high hopes after seeing some of the reviews from Google so we decided to give it a try. We ordered one seafood chowder, one clam chowder, one fish taco wrap, a burger platter and mussels. A couple tables ordered after us got their food before ours and they ordered chowder and other items on the menu. After probably 5-10 minutes after, the servers said oh your food is coming. They came back with the mussels and then nothing. We almost finished the mussels when I asked where is the other food. Chowder shouldn't really take that long. The server said the rest will come after the mussels are done. I told them just bring the rest of the food is ready and just sitting in the kitchen. The food was actually decent but the service killed the entire experience. On top of that, we sat outside and my kid got stung by a bee. It just wasn't our day. Probably would have a better time having pizza and donairs a few stores down the street.

Wanted to have breakfast and menu or Google does not say hours, there was no more but decided to stay as I was hungry. The place was cold and not much atmosphere. I was tempted by lobster dish to be then told there was none available. Decided to go for the jack up burger, it took quite some time and as impressive as the plate look, it was very disappointing. Menu says portobello mushrooms and was not, waffle fries and it was not and to top it off the meat was so overcooked and dry I couldn’t eat it.overall very disappointing experience and was a first and last for me. It’s sad as I wanted to try it for over a year and should have refrain.

Have tried giving the benefit of the doubt, by revisiting 2 additional times on a weekend. Food is ok once you get it. The wait time is ridiculous. Seems like they are always understaffed, but severs milling around. Sat for almost 15 min before even being asked if we wanted something to drink. Another 15-20 min before returning for food order, then 30ish minutes for food to arrive. This happened, multiple times over a period of 3 weekends. Unfortunately 3 strikes, we're out.

Tried to go in to grab a bite to eat with my woman. And they literally told me there was no tables when clearly I seen 3 tables. I find that pretty ignorant and racist yes I am mixed black and white but what really hurt was it took 2 seconds to go out back to get in my car and there were people sitting in those spots that I seen open im tired of racism even tho I know it will never change but wow so my money is no good I guess
Had a quick bite passing through. Liked the chowder a lot.

I had a chicken vegetable soup, which was absolutely delicious. I had preconceived ideas about what a salad would look like, but I was mistaken. The Greek salad was filled leafy green and was healthy and I’d get it again!

We stopped in and now I wish I didn’t. We had the pizza rolls, chicken quesadilla and the salmon. The pizza rolls were fine. The quesadillas was not bland. It appeared that have pre sliced chicken breast that you would find at Costco and little to no cheese. The chicken kept falling out of the tortilla because there was no cheese or other ingredients to hold it in. Our son had the salmon and it was inedible. The salmon was so dry he couldn’t get down more than two bites. It came with beans that appeared to have been microwaved. All in all, we spent a lot of money to leave hungrier than when we arrived. On the positive, the patio is nice.

Sadly, we waited for an hour to get our meal, then finally gave up waiting and left this restaurant. The service was very slow, and when I asked, the waitress was abrupt in confirming that it was always busy.
Can’t speak to the quality of food, because it never arrived. Looks like a comfortable spot but we won’t ever know if it is tasty fare.

Cute spot in a very adorable town. Had corn chowder, seafood chowder and bruschetta. The seafood chowder was good, the corn chowder was not. The bruschetta description from the menu didn't match what was given. It said it had goat and feta cheese but we were served a Greek pita with tomato onions and mozzarella. A bit disappointing but staff were kind and other food we saw others eating looked great. So maybe skip what we had and try something else.
