Let's start off with the only positive. Yes, the food was very good. The service is terrible. We waited 50 minutes for our lunch and we sat down around 1 o'clock (lunch was winding down). We were just about to walk out when our food came. No apology, nothing. Not a pleasant experience with the server as well, just not personable what so ever.
Maybe we've come in with too high of expectations, but the place didn't really impress. We were hoping for a small, low key but great food kind of place. It's right on the coast and its name has chowder in it, so how can you go wrong with a chowder, right? We've ordered mussels - tasted like the broth was made out of a store bought spice pack, way too salty. Part of what I love about mussels is the broth - dip your bread in it, dip the mussels in it.
