Food and service was excellent. Was pretty busy. The dinner accommodated my wifes shel fish alergy which was very nice.

We visited The Tatamagouche Railway Dining Car for my nieces birthday. There were 11 of us and they did a great job accommodating all of us - 3 tables together. The food was good, I can't remember exactly what each person got but know that everyone enjoyed the meal. We had 2 kiddos under 5 and they both loved being able to eat in a dining car.

Unique experience however not good value for the cost for the meal. Very small portions.

Stay away unless you're coming for the train.

Food was unremarkable as was the service, only saving grace was the atmosphere. Beef "tenderloin" was supposed to be med-rare (I'm 99% it was a different cut passed off as tendy) and everything else on the plate was over cooked, which explains why it took so long, as well as underseasoned. Our server served, cleared, and billed every table that came in after us long before us; causing us and our six-year-old and three-month-old to wait over half an hour for the bill, in a restaurant with only 10 tables.

My husband and I have eaten there a number of times, it’s definitely a fun atmosphere! The service is excellent and friendly, the food is good however they are a little pricy!

Absolutely fantastic food and dining experience! Limited seating (4 to a table) but a must try if you are in the area!
