My wife and I both love Jamacia, it's food culture and people. This is the best Jamacian food I've had off the island. My son it was his first exposure to West Indian food and he loved it. Went with a island traditional dish first out with Salt Fish. Highly highly recommend giving this place a try if you haven't already your missing out.

Had take out from Ella's for the first time today and it was excellent! My only suggestion would be to order hot if you like a bit of spice, we ordered medium and it was very mild but the flavor was still great.

Call ahead to make sure they are open!Great food, but inconsistent hours. The second time I went, they were closed despite the hours advertised saying they were open.5 star review as per taste and price is concerned.. but consistent hours are a MUST for myself and many others!!

I love this place in Truro. I have lunch here 9 out of 10 times when I'm in town. Service is so friendly and relaxed. The music is nice. Can't stay stressed about anything at Ella's.

I had the j*** chicken and it was probably the best I’ve ever had even compared to Jamaica. The curry chicken is very good but I would like more curry. The Akee salt cod is amazing and one of my favourite meals ever ... salt cod is one of my favourite meals. The Jamaican patty I would like the meat to be drier. This is a very good restaurant with amazing flavours and reasonable prices. We recently discovered it and have been back three times.
