Stopped into White Sails and had the cheeseburger and poutine. Both were fantastic. The burger was really good and the poutine hit the spot. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were great. Definitely a place I’d go back to!
We happened upon this gem of a spot while we were looking for a grocery store in the area, and what a happy accident! We walked in and they were technically closed, but they were so kind, and let us order some food and stock up on some kitchen essentials anyway.
They ground us some coffee beans, made us delicious chicken burgers, chicken fingers and fries/poutine, and chatted with us about things to do in the area.
Such a wonderful experience!

White Sails Bakery & Deli is a family run local business with a great selection of food. The owners and staff are friendly and courteous. They have a great selection of bakery items and gluten free items, including gourmet GF cookies. The deli serves dishes like the Club House sandwich and club sandwich with a poutine. The food is great tasting and perfectly prepared. The bakery items, such as the eclair, are very good. It's a great place to stop, especially when travelling near Peggy's Cove. Note that there is no indoor space to eat, but picnic tables by the lake are available.
