Went here in the last two weeks. Food was ok BUT we WAITED 1.5 HOURS for food to come to our table. When I mentioned it to the waitress SHE ANSWERED ME VERY CRANKY!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!
Food: 2
We got married at Bent Ridge this past weekend on an absolutely perfect day! Meghan went above and beyond in organizing everything, the property was beautiful, and the food was incredible 👌 We highly highly recommend them!
One of the great things about living in Nova Scotia is all the hidden gems tucked away just off the beaten track. Bent Ridge is one such. Across the valley from the Martock ski hills, it's a small winery/brewery, which also caters for all manner of events, including weddings. We visited on a mostly sunny, warmish August Friday at the start of the Labour Day weekend. Essentially it's a restaurant and a very pleasant one at that. There is a smallish bar/galley area inside, with a covered, all weather and all year round solarium attached, a small patio and lawn beyond that. They offer beer/cider and wine samplers which I'd strongly recommend. I went for the four reds they produce, and thoroughly enjoyed them all, especially the 1763 Unhinged. The menu is quite extensive, and we went for a pizza each, Bent Ridge Belly for me, Fig and Onion for the wife. Both were delicious and of generous size. I tried their ginger infused rough cider, which was excellent and quite novel. I was also treated to a gratis glass of the Maple Porter. The restaurant affords pleasant views across the valley and is nicely appointed, with a variety of seating and can cater for fairly large groups. Service was a delight and the eventual bill of almost exactly $100 not onerous by today's standards. Will definitely have to visit again. And this time I'll take a growler and buy some of their craft beer.
Went for lunch, so it wasnt too busy. Nice spot and service was really good. Our waiter was great.
We started with the Warm Italian dip, which was so good! I would get it again for sure. It does have jalapeños in it so there is a bit of heat, but not much.
I ordered the Roasted Chicken pizza which has Garlic butter, roasted chicken, roasted red peppers, Mexican mole BBQ sauce, fresh goat cheese. It was really good, especially the BBQ sauce that is used. I did however find the crust part quite crispy. It's not soft or airy like other places I've been. I also had a glass of the Slightly Bent wine, which was delicious.
The person I was with had the Tuscan Chicken Penne. Which was bechamel sauce, cherry tomatoes, spinach, chicken and penne in a Tuscan sauce.
We both enjoyed our meals and took home half. Would definitely return.
We chose Bent Ridge as our wedding venue because we love the food and atmosphere and visit all the time. Our wedding was perfect! Meghan handled all of the logistics and was very involved both prior to and on the day of. More than I expected her to be. The food was fantastic, service was great, and everyone had an amazing time.
Excellent pizza and great patio. The craft beer was excellent. They had a very nice red wine that went well with the pizza.
We took my son here for his birthday, he is visiting from Alberta. We chose Bent Ridge because of his love for wood fire pizza and because my daughter is quadriplegic and we needed accessibility. The service was amazing, food and drinks were awesome and ambiance was beautiful! Thank you for helping make my son’s day special! PS…the Tuscan Chicken Penne was to die for as was the bruschetta and stuffed mushrooms!!
Food, service and atmosphere was all amazing. Not one complaint. Staff was great, food was fast and unbelievably good. House craft beers were also great. Highly recommend
The views were beautiful, however, the dining experience was underwhelming. We were sat next to a mess, despite other tables being open. There was only one server on when we first arrived and she was so so busy, I felt bad for her. Later on two more servers came. The alcohol menu was short and did not offer much of a variety for being a winery/distillery. We had an appy, a pasta dish and a pizza.. the pizza was very heavy on the BBQ sauce and did not taste very good. Feedback was provided and was not acknowledged.
I’ve only been here twice and each time the service was the slowest I’ve ever seen.

Great vineyard! I loved the atmosphere - it's like stepping into another world! They really paid attention to the finishing touches. Also loved the food! Would get the beef empanadas, east coaster pizza and watermelon salad again.
The setting is nice, but the attention to detail is lacking. The entrance is awkward, the place needs a scrub and the wood fired pizza is only OK. The ingredients are good but the crust is lacking.
Lastly, we sat outside and the bugs were constant. I recommend having bug machines going.
The service was great. Beer and wine flights were also great.
I have been to the Winery many times. Always a pleasant experience. The Canada day and bent ridge anniversary was no different. Great food, fantastic wine and wonderful entertainment. I had the grilled watermelon salad and gjass of Unhinged red, exquisite!! Tiffany was awesome. Always enjoyable visit with her. Looking forward to my next visit and the superb staff .
Food was excellent. Ribs were even better then I hoped
