Love this hidden gem. ☆☆☆☆☆ all the way around. Excellent food like your nanny cooked for you as a kid. Excellent portion sizes, a great menu with lots of choices and the best desserts hands down. Try it for yourself and enjoy.

We went for dinner tonight and I ordered the chicken buttermilk burger and my wife had 2pc fish and chips. The service was very speedy and the food came out piping hot. The restaurant was almost full on a Tuesday might!! We had a PC of peanut butter pie to take home and it blew us away!! Sorry to be passing through. I strongly recommend it.

Great home cooked food, with awesome deserts (I went for a big piece of peanut butter pie $3.99). Very very clean with friendly staff, if your in Windsor NS and want some great food, not fancy but just good old home cooked food, most of which is prepared right there, then check out Lisa's Cafe!

They have the best sweet potato fries with a really nice dip to go with them. The price is right at nine dollars and I paired them with a cup of homemade baked beans for a delicious vegetarian lunch.

First time there today, February 11th, 2025. Went with the girlfriend. It had a nice traditional diner vibe. Look forward to going again. Very fair prices. See receipt to confirm. Fair portions. Reasonable wait time and good waitress service and attention (not too much attention, not too little. The right balance). The deluxe burger was amazing. I liked it more than the wrap personally (only had a few bite of the GFs wrap). The fries were great. Not too few, not too many. Had peanut butter pie for dessert and it was phenomenal... hands down the best pie I have tasted in my life. Very rich. The typical clientele is older people, and the tables have trivia cards that are pretty fun. I'm amost 40 so i was able to get a good number of trivia answers right. But someone younger might be lost haha. Good way to kill time while you wait for food. We left satisfied and full.

Just stopped in for a quick coffee and was surprisingly disappointed. Ordered a coffee to go, standard prebagged coffee in standard drip machine, size is tiny and it was $3. The coffee was just ok, next time I'll just wait until I'm home. Server was friendly, even when I made a comment about how expensive the coffee was. Didn't order anything else. 1 star for coffee and price, 4 stars for service.
We’ve been coming here for many years and have always found the meals to be a fair value for the price, but unfortunately, this time was very different. The food was cold and, in some cases, not really edible. I ordered nachos, which were served microwave-warmed on a plate—something I could have easily made at home. My parents' meals were also cold, which was disappointing. My husband had the beans and fish cakes and mentioned the beans were decent, but that was the only positive part of the meal.
What stood out most, however, was the extremely rude server. She visibly sighed and grunted when my father took a little extra time deciding on his order. It was very off-putting and left a bad impression. We’ve always had a good experience here in the past, but this visit was definitely not up to the standard we’ve come to expect. We will not be returning and will make sure to let others know as this is the second time with this server with this experience.
