Diners in Tuktoyaktuk, NT

“Unfortunately, when we were there, "Grandma" wasn't well. "Grandpa" accommodated us well in her absence. We had some homemade beef and vegetable soup with a bun and we got to try Muktuk(whale blubber) and dryfish. We loved it! Grandpa was a soft spoken, and genuine person. His face lit up when I told him we had gotten engaged on the Point the night before. He had the biggest smile and hugged me (a stranger), saying, "That's good news ,you have to come back to Tuk to get married then!"
Thank you, Grandpa, and we're glad that Grandma is on the mend.“
