We're not from Yk, this was our first visit to NWT Brewing; it will also be our last. After a short wait, we were seated, provided with water and our beverage order taken. The restaurant was about half full, there appeared to be sufficient staff but despite that, after more than 15 minutes waiting for our beverages, we left. If it takes that long to deliver two beverages, we weren't interested in finding out how long two meals would take.

Amazing atmosphere and great tasting foods and drinks. Their draft beer was fresh and great, their steak sandwich and mac & cheese was very delicious at the way to the old town Yellowknife. I’d really enjoyed and have a great time with lovely food and beer.

The place was nice with local brews. Went for lunch and had a few dishes. The smash burger was disappointing or nothing special 😕. The place got busier as the afternoon rolled around... Service and Atmophere were good and would go back. The food was good for a brew pub.

Came for the cream ale and had the Pork Katsu croissant with house salad. The salad alone is worth the trip. Everything was excellent!!!

Atmosphere is kinda good. Staff were very nice. We loved the steak, but the wings tasted very weird. A bit expensive though

Get the pine beer & the pork belly wedge salad. So good. I miss it years later, from 1000s of km away. What a nice, classy spot for a small town.
The millenial coreboxes-on-the-ceiling-as-decor vibe is a bit corny tbh. But what can you do? Hipsters make great IPAs.

We visited on Wednesday (not open for lunch.) They open at 4pm. They serve lunch on Thur to Sun, so check first.

Several locals recommended this place. Since we were walking and exploring the town, we thought we stopped in to use the restroom and try their beers.

This place had a great atmosphere and local vibe. Within the first-round of opening the place filled up quickly. The food portions we saw from the other tables were huge! I wish we had time to grab dinner here, but at least we were able to sample the local beers.

I would still recommend.

Very impressed with The Woodyard. Everytime we have gone, the service has been impeccable, and the food has been AMAZING. I've only tried a few of their drinks on tap, but they were tasty and well balanced. It can sometimes get a little loud from guests and music playing, but overall exceptional.

Easily our favorite spot when visiting the city. Great vibes, really good food, and delicious beers and cocktails. Highly recommend if visiting the area!

Stopped by just for a beer and to get out of the cold.
Was greeted with lovely service and a smile.
As a kiwi I’d never had poutine before, only our version of loaded fries, so I had to give it a go.
Shared a side serving between my partner and I and it was absolutely delicious.
I’ve been told to hold out for Quebec poutine but this is a pretty good start.
The minty Mexican hot chocolate cocktail wasn’t so bad either

The chowder soup is pretty creamy, the bread is good. We got a $10 burger on Thursday night, what a bargain! The beer is a must-try item too! Team Canada win tonight!!
