The Wildcat Cafe Reviews
Delicious food + excellent service
This is the best dining experience I’ve had in Yellowknife, actually the experience rivals my dining experiences in Paris, Berlin, London, among others.
What makes the Wildcat special are the attention to detail when it comes to food, the local focus of the cuisine, and the lovely, welcoming staff.
I ate here 4 times during a 9 day visit, a first for me with any restaurant.
Not to be missed for anyone caring about quality food, eating local, and getting...read full review

We enjoyed a fantastic brunch here today! All of the dishes were delicious. My son especially liked the breakfast sandwich served on bannock.

The Wildcat Cafe offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with attentive and friendly staff. The restaurant provides a casual and intimate setting, perfect for a meal with friends or a romantic occasion. Guests can enjoy delicious food, a "campy" vibe, and a lovely patio overlooking the water. The cafe excels at mastering a few select dishes, including the best French Onion soup and the Bison Meatloaf, which is highly recommended. Visitors can also try the unique Prospectors Platter, a charcuterie board. The Wildcat Cafe is an iconic location in Yellowknife, known for its local and delicious food, cozy log cabin setting, and camp vibe with tin plates. The menu features items made with obvious love of culinary delight, such as the pork hash and hearty breakfast sandwiches that feel like a three-course meal. The cafe’s view is beautiful, and the fried fish dinner is excellent, with service that is attentive and friendly. Guests often find it difficult to leave because of the great food and cozy environment, and many recommend ordering multiple items to share. The cafe’s history and charm make it a memorable spot for visitors.
