Had a wonderful chicken curry. Quite pricey with moderate sized portions but the quality is there.

This place is a cute little Ethiopian restaurant to visit while in Yellowknife. I ordered the Mahiberawi combo plate (#3). I was blown away how much food was on the platter, the portions were huge (very stuffing for the average person). The platter came with a variety of vegetarian and meat dishes (e.g., tibs), all with their own unique taste but the food was great. I also like that injera flatbread is gluten free, so that's an added plus. Definitely give this place a try for a new food experience if you're visiting the area.

A curry and injera. I don’t even know what they made but got in late and called for take out just as they were closing (at 8pm! Unlike what website of HappyCow says). They made me this and I said a curry vegan and he’s like “yah yah I know”. So great slightly spicy

Went here twice during our trip and had the numb 3 combo. One of the best Ethiopian restuarants I have been to. Highly recommended!

We loved this restaurant and the food! One of our favourite places for sure in Yellowknife. Big portions, fair price, high quality food. We got #3 the sampler platter and recommend it to anyone looking to try different dishes who has never had Ethiopian before.

The only “bother” was the man sitting at the front lobby was watching a show on his phone without headphones at the highest volume. It definitely negatively affected the atmosphere. A small thing but not exactly the most professional or visitor-friendly thing to do.

A hidden gem of YK. Placed in downtown in an unassuming building, the food was delicious and the service was good. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, if a little simple. It's clear the owners are proud of the restaurant, and they should be - it's well awarded and there's a nice article on the wall about the place. My wife and I got the goat curry with extra njera. That was a large portion for two weary people trudging through the snow all day to share. Enjoy, you won't regret it. I recommend this establishment.

Generous portions, consider sharing a plate unless you are quite hungry. The injera platter and curried goat are really tasty. Yet the highlight for us was the traditional ‘buna’ coffee… arguably the best caffeine hit in town!

Tasty Ethiopian food. it was recommended by our taxi driver who is from Eritrea. Large portions of meat and veggie dishes served with traditional injera. My wife and I shared a meat combo, little portions of food that you eat by ripping the injera bread and picking up with your fingers before stuffing your face with it! Forks are overrated!

Found this restaurant while walking to dinner somewhere else and tried it on a whim. Absolutely delicious food. Ordered the Mahiberawi combination with injera followed by Ethiopian coffee. All the curries were absolutely delicious and the injera complimented the flavours beautifully. The coffee was stunning as well. All in all a culinary delight which I did not expect to be hidden away in Yellowknife. Highly recommend anyone visiting to come try it for themselves.

This was our first time trying Ethopian cuisine and fell in love. Every dish was delicious. Portion size was very good for the price. Clean ambience and lovely staff !!!
