The HideAway Restaurant & Bar

We were traveling through Battle Mountain from Chicago to San Francisco and given the reviews, decided to give it a try. The positive reviews were correct. This is a gem of a family restaurant.

We had the chicken sandwich (BLTG) with oink (pork) rinds. The oink rinds were the best we've ever had. They were still crackling several minutes after they were served. All main dishes for dinner come with soup (unlimited) and salad. We were getting full just from the soup. We chose the cabbage and ham (grandma's recipe) and it was the first time we've had a cabbage soup like this before. It was delicious. Flavorful and nice and warm on a cool winter night.

We can't recommend The HideAway enough. We look forward to the next time we are traveling through. Even if it's to stop for more oink rinds!

Oh my goodness. This restaurant is amazing. I called our order in during the week. Drove down and grabbed it. Service was excellent. And the food was amazing. I had a patty melt and their fried mushrooms. So good. If you want a really good hamburger I high recommend going here. Looking forward to trying other items on their menu.

Waitress was very good, t bone steak was a 9.5 out of 10 that’s unheard of for from me! green beans were so good cooked to perfection and loaded potato is going to be good tomorrow had one bite but can’t eat anymore! I am from out of town so no affiliation.

DO NOT HESITATE. Stop here! Our server/tender was LIZ. From the moment we walked in, to our entire experience here she exceeded expectations. We did 8 hours straight and this was our find?! Let’s Go!!! Food: 10! Burgers were A+ . Cocktails: A+! Just stop and enjoy a hidden gem!! Clean, fresh, friendly and yes, we enjoyed! See you again when in this neck of the woods. Thank you Liz!!! It was taco Tuesday and I ordered the prime rib tacos.They were delicious. The establishment was very clean. I wish I would have stayed to eat cause.I would've enjoyed playing a game of pool also. Maybe next time I can. The staff was very kind, courteous and very efficient.

Great service and food. Many choices to choose from and generous portions. We had rib eye steaks and cooked to perfection! We added a little salt at the table but for the most part good flavor. We were passing through and wanted to try a different place this time. Good choices. We stop again next time.

Traveling from Reno to Elko, we stopped in on a Saturday at noon. Outdoor patio(Porch). Ordered the Mushroom Swiss burger with garlic fries and the special forces that day, Prime rib tacos. We had the popcorn chicken bites as an appetizer. Food was fresh and perfectly cooked. We had the Big Cookie with ice cream for desert. Our server was top notch. We will be back.

Quiet lunch crowd when we were there. Casual, clean atmosphere. Quite for dining. Generous portions. Pricing comparable. Great food! Friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
