My husband and I went to Mel's Diner when we visited Death Valley. They serve really good breakfast items at very affordable prices.
My boyfriend and I stopped here for lunch. He got the grilled chicken sandwich and a side of potato salad and I got the fried shrimp and fries and they were both delicious. Actually some of the best fried shrimp I’ve ever had. The cocktail and tartar sauce is also really good. Would recommend stopping here for a quick bite to eat at an awesome price.

Excellent food, customer service and prices! Came here on a weekend morning and was immediately greeted by the staff. Two omelettes (with sides), two coffees and tax was only $22. The portions were generous and the food was cooked perfectly. Staff checked in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. If you're in Beatty, don't miss it!

Awesome food at this classic small diner. I had the Devner omelet with country gravy and hash browns and it was all fantastic, but the real winner was the buttered white toast. It was the best I've ever had.
