Habaneros Taco Grill #7 (Boulder City)

I stopped here for some quick food around 8:45 PM on a Monday night. I never used to have issues at this location, but my most recent experience was very concerning. The lady working the drive-thru (with glasses, lip piercings, and tattoos) was laughing the entire time I tried to order.

When she opened the window, she didn’t say anything — she just handed me my drink without telling me the total. Then she stood there silently, staring at me, with the window open. After I gave her my card, she stood at the POS computer but never swiped it. Instead, I watched her slowly start to walk toward the back with my card still in her hand, as if she was going to head into the kitchen without charging it.

I honked my horn to get her attention. At first, she wasn’t going to walk back to the register — she was about to keep going into the back with my card. It wasn’t until I pointed directly at my card in her hand that she finally stopped. I threw my hands up and said, “What are you doing? I haven’t even seen you charge my card yet, and now you’re just walking around with it.” She eventually swiped my card once and said it was declined. I told her, “Try again — instead of walking to the kitchen with my card, try actually swiping it.” Only then did she process it correctly, and it went through.

To make matters worse, there were at least two other employees working — another cashier and the cook/chef who was preparing and bagging food. So it’s not like she was overwhelmed or covering multiple positions. This left me feeling very uncomfortable and made me question her intentions with my card. I also realized I may have had a similar issue with this same employee in the past.

Because of this, I will not be returning or recommending this location to friends or family until this is addressed.

I think I ve found a new favorite chili verde fries. So delicious. Habaneros gives you plenty of food with ever order. And tasty food too.

Arrived at 930 pm for taco Tuesday special and customers were in the dining room. However, the dining room was closed.

Tried the drive thru and was disappointed that the prices had not been updated and the merchant charges an additional fee for credit and debit cards.

Food is good but I have a question lol. WHY is it when I order the fish taco's sometimes it's a fried fish and sometimes it's NOT and it's more like a salad on a shell.... Isn't SUPPOSED TO BE THE SAME THING EACH TIME....

Love the food and staff, hate the 4% credit card fee. Especially when Visa only charges up to 3.15% at the most.

Beware: I bit into my beef taquito and two chunks of glass almost broke my teeth, GLASS!!! Of course I took pictures and already spoke to the manager, showed her the pics and evidence!!

About 3 years ago I was introduced to a taco with its own soup. Birria tacos became my favorite tacos ever. I have had tons of them. THESE ARE THE BEST!! Amazing queso birria taco tacos. The consomé is perfect.
