After a catastrophic failure at the restaurant next door and walking out, I walked over here still hungry. Steve was cool and friendly. The food was simple but decent. I had a carne asada burrito with rice, bean, and cheese. It definitely filled me up with the side of chips and salsa. The hot salsa was fantastic and definitely prepared well. I stayed at the Hoover Dam Lodge and Casino this fall, as they had a special rate for a nearby recreational event at Lake Mead’s Boulder Beach. The location is great, only about a mile from the Lake Mead recreational area entrance. I’l also give thumbs up to the friendly front desk staff, and the 24x7 General Store, which came in very handy as I needed to grab breakfast at 5 am on Saturday morning. The bed in the room was comfortable, just fine for a good night’s sleep....
