August 8, 2025: French dips are still great! Both the meat and au jus have flavor! This time I took a picture! Adding extra meat makws one sandwich very filling!

2 years later as of Sat, August 9th 2025:
I took a chance on French dips here again, knowing what I'd get. I just had a craving for something different. Anyway, I took some measures to make the best of one of their French Dips. The au jus is usually the weak link (not enough flavor). So I put together a little container with 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce, a couple of dashes of worcestershire and five pinches of beef bullion and mixed them well this time. When I got my sandwich, I sipped the au jus experimentally. Interestingly it still had flavor! I was surprised! The beef actually had flavor too! I noticed it instantly. I went ahead and added my mixture to improve the au jus anyways and the French Dip I ate stunned me. I might actually eat here again sometime soon! The curly fries were a nice change of pace too.

When they first opened: I ordered a French Dip, a Regular (for the sake of nostalgia) and the new Prime Rib Sandwich.

Starting with the Prime Rib Sandwich, while mine was a modified sandwich (minus the cheese and aioli), I can evaluate the sandwich based on the meat itself. The meat was more cooked than the pictures would lead you to believe you'd get, but the flavor of the meat was more beefy than the traditional 'roast beef' that Arbys serves. Since it tasted like beef, I give the sandwich a good rating.

The French Dip surprised me on two counts: I went expecting to receive insufficient beef as I have more than once. Instead, there was a fair amount included. While the au jus wasn't filled to the brim, I learned that the recipe has been tweaked to make it flavorful, whereas it was kind of a bland but adequate mixture for a long while. I brought some Lipton Beefy Onion mix to punch up the flavor, but after trying a light sip of it, I decided that it needed no doctoring. Not bad.

Onto the final sandwich I ordered, the original roast beef, was standard for any Arbys restaurant. There were no deficiencies or issues with it that would allow me to give the sandwich more than 5 stars. Instead of comparing the sandwich against what I could get at say the Nugget or a smaller local joint that would serve fresh beef, I would in that case give it 3 stars, but that would be an unfair comparison, since this is Arbys.

Finally, I give a full five star rating on the basis of the food not disappointing for Arbys fare, but beyond that, the cashier was excellent. He was nothing but helpful. I've seldom encountered such good service in Carson City. That alone settled my mind on the matter.

He accommodated my hearing disability and treated me with great dignity. I would say that at least on the basis of this single visit, my experience there sets this restaurant apart from many nearby competitors.

Please be sure to support this location. If the management trains all its employees so well, they deserve your patronage.

Bought the new chicken bacon sandwich. Ate their so it would be hot. The entire sandwich cold, I mean cold not cooled down, COLD. Bacon severely under cooked, etc. Took it back and the sandwich probably just got microwaved, bacon still barely edible. So no apology just dumped it off like I had the problem about food safety. This is the first time I've had an issue there but with the attitude it'll be the last. Other reviews have this place at 3.6. I can see why. Staff sucks! The worst!

The curly fries tasted like they had been fried in very old oil. There were no curls in the fries. The pieces I got were hard, small crunchy fries-the leftovers and the fry box was not full.. They were not fresh. I got a different burger than the one I ordered. The burger was well done on the outside, but red, not pink, on the inside. The worst tasting burger ever. The young guys were not friendly at all. I'm not going back.

The food looked like chopped up dog food, slimy, and like they just threw it on the bread. It definitely doesn't look like the picture on the menu or on the outside advertising. I would never go back and I haven't been to Arby's in 15 years and the one time I do go back this is what I get no wonder I've always drove passed because they false advertise and thats not ok. Hourly yall get yall stuff together.

Don't stop often, but Arby's has been a favorite for decades. Much more expensive now, but the sandwiches were well made. Glad to see potato cakes on the menu-every place has fries. And service was excellent.

Always go thru the drive up. Young man who took our order was courteous and polite. We had Deep fried turkey and Roast beef sandwiches. And the pumpkin turnovers are the bomb! Wish they weren't seasonal!
