Z Bistro
“Wonderful dining experienceThe food was beautifully prepared and memorableThe service team loved what they did and it showed. We are looking forward to our next dinner at Z Bistro.”
“my first time here after work.. cute little out of the way.. nothing spectacular except the bartender came out from behind the bar to greet and take our order. But the best part? The women's room.. there is a heated seat and bidet (don't have to use).. and super clean and Hempz lotion. They went out of their way to think about the female demographic in a dude bar. Loved it.. and had a duo band which was fun.”
“A true gem in Carson City. For the past three years my wife and I have had the Valentine's Day special dinner with wine pairing. Every year the food and wine have been spectacular. The staff make every visit a pleasure whether it is a special date or another normal dinner visit. Also, the paella is great.”

“Came here for Happy Hour and was pleasantly surprised. Parking was free and available in a lot across the street. There is ample courtyard seating but I suggest you make reservations beforehand. Ambiance, food, and service were wonderful. Prices are reasonable. Heidi and Eddie waited on us promptly, and Grace made some tasty cocktails. I will definitely come here again.”
“This was my absolute favorite Chinese food in Carson. They sold out to Panda Kitchen II. Who ever cooked for China Palace needs to open another restaurant or teach Panda Kitchen how to cook.”

“I've now had both the soup and ice cream from here and both were great. My wife and I just both had dinner there and it's nice to have a hearty meal for less than $20.”

“Very kind and nice. Asks questions like, do you need a straw with that? The drinks are awesome as always. Totally recommend.Dietary restrictions: They don’t have much options for Gluten Free in the bakery section. A while ago they had gluten free chocolate cookies. Please bring them back to store.Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp to get to the front doors.”
“Awesome service and Delicious food!! I will come again when I travel to Lake Tahoe again. Chef's kiss! The food is delicious and they have very good service. It was a blessing to find this place while we visited Lake Tahoe.”
“Very nice little restaurant with a homey feel to it.The curry was great and not spicy at all so if you're looking for a bit of a kick let them know.Very friendly ”
“Good family neighborhood restaurant in Carson City that was fairly busy on Friday night. We came because there was live music (in the mall seating) which was a lovely diversion. The food was fine (fish was a little oily) and the service was good. It was a nice touch that the owner came around twice to check if we were OK. The flavored sodas were off the menu, so the bar staff made me a custom virgin mojito. The wine portions were generous”
“Killer traditional ramen! Ordered the tonkotsu broth, and it was quite good! Nice portion size. The soft boiled egg was soy-sauce style, which I really liked. Take out held up well with separate containers for noodles/toppings and broth.”
“Wonderful dining experienceThe food was beautifully prepared and memorableThe service team loved what they did and it showed. We are looking forward to our next dinner at Z Bistro.”
“This is my favorite bubble tea place in this city! I enjoy having so many customizable options. Not only are the drinks good, but the atmosphere is nice too! I enjoy the aesthetic of the place, and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to chill for a bit.”
“Ok ... total hole in the wall but thanks to yelpstars who brought me here. Basic taqueria no frills but DELICIOUS BIRRIA tacos. Ever since I had these for the first time in Las Vegas about two years ago I've been on the hunt for the best ones in our area and these ones were wow!! chefs kiss. Amazing. I don't eat the onions on them mine are just that soaked meat and tons of cheesy cheese. Ladies working were super nice. Grab a seat and enjoy. I would drive to Carson just for these.”
“We went to celebrate a birthday. The food was pretty good. It was cold outside and snowing, so the cold air was coming in right on us. We had 10 people and it was ok.”

“It's always a great place to go. Friendly staff and the outdoor patio is dog friendly. Great food and a nice place to meet up with friends. I bring my dad often for lunch and we're never rushed. He's in his 90's, uses a walker, and moves slowly. They always make us feel welcome. Love this place!”
“This was just an okay food experience, when they brought the chips and salsa we got excited because the salsa is delicious, and I got a Sunday funday afternoon margarita (my own name for having a noon cocktail on Sunday lol) which was also very very good. My fiancé (who has a bad dairy allergy) was accommodated nicely to for asking for no cheese or sour cream on anything. He got a side salad with his order of tacos and an enchilada, the salad was decent. His tacos came with absolutely nothing but meat and guac though which confused us because why no veg? But the meat was decent in the taco. I ordered the tortilla soup (which I took one bite of, it was probably personal taste but I didn't like the broth) and two enchiladas and a taco, my taco was stacked (lots of veg) and delicious. However the red enchilada sauce was just not flavorful. It tasted kind of like a broth? I took most of my enchiladas to go so I could eat them later with my fiancés homemade sauce. The space was nice and the service was friendly and accommodating, that enchiladas sauce just killed it for me though. But overall a nice day out.”

“A popular spot in Carson for a fine dining experience that doesn't require you to get all dressed up. Fresh seafood is on point here. Big portions in a quiet setting with a friendly staff make this gem a must visit.”

Oishi Sushi
“Great place, great speed, great sushi. Not too many people and kind of hidden away from the main road. The service is fast and kind. I recommend their Oishi roll!”

“Took my father to eat here, everything was really good. I jad the wet burrito, which was HUGE. But you could tell all of the ingredients had been seasoned, it tasted so good, I ate more than I should have. But I will be coming back again for sure. Service was excellent. The waitress was really nice. Fortunately, we went when it was not busy at all, so it was peaceful.”
“I went and visited the Great Basin brewing company in Carson on Monday. I had such a pleasant experience with the bartender melissa! She made she I was taken care of and made sure my drinks and food came out in a fast and timely manner! I highly recommend coming here and asking for her! She makes the BEST margaritas! :)”
“And it's been a few years since I visited Olive garden Italian restaurant. This evening with friends we had dinner at the Carson City location. It was a delightful experience ! The restaurants in the bar are all comfortably and attractively appointed. Her server was helpful and took care of all of the details related to our entree dinner and choices. We brought our own bottle wine, the corkage was $10, quite a deal. The dinner pricing was comparable to other local restaurants of a similar caliber. If you like Italian food, you'll enjoy a visit to Olive garden Italian restaurant.”
“The cheese curds are no longer on their menu but were replaced by mozzarella sticks. They were fully cooked through which is awesome! Their marinara had just a little hint of spice to it. Had their meat lovers thin crust pizza and was delicious! Waitress was great too!”
“This place is the spot for authentic Asian cuisine! They are so friendly, fast and fair priced! They always get it right! Delivery is also easy and friendly! Awesome business!”
“We found Maria's by accident and we're so pleased we did. The food was great and the service was super. We can't wait to go back. Highly recommend Maria's!!!”
“It was a slow night, but we were spoiled with attention at the Sushi counter. Our chef was incredibly fast, friendly and attentive. I have several special.food needs, and our chef was super accommodating.”
“This place has become my and my boyfriends go to place when I'm hungry and want some Mongolian bbq on a budget. Legit that is the first thing I go to when I get there because it's my favorite part. You can choose between beef, chicken, and pork during lunch - dinner just adds shrimp as an option. Then they have broccoli, bean sprouts, onion, noodles, garlic, squash and I believe that's it. They also have a sushi section which isn't the best but isn't horrible either. I'll eat a few when I'm there. There's some more basic things - chicken wings, chicken skewers, ceviche, egg drop soup, chow mein and rice. All in all I enjoy there options. As for the service - I've never had an issue. Generally they sit you down, someone gets your drinks and you'll have a few people who rotate around grabbing plates and refilling drinks. During lunch it's much quieter than during dinner. Once time we went during dinner on a Friday and holy moly. Anyways, rating a 4/5 because it is still buffet food and some things are mediocre.”
“The smell of home and the taste of happy. That is the closest description I can say for this place. The fish pakora had a thin crispy batter with the fish cooked just right and still moist and flaky. The best lamb biryani I have ever tasted. The samosa with mint chutney was a welcoming note. I had my biryani with Eggplant Bhartha, and it was phenominal. The meat was so soft and moist and had no gamey aftertaste. The service was top notch. ?You will not be disappointed. Although, reserve your table first for the best experience. We just walked in, but the food was prepared as if they were preparing our fiest the whole morning.”

“We arrived late about 8:20 even though they closed at 9:00 they were still willing to accommodate my party.?Wheelchair accessibility: There is parking for handicapped, and the restaurant is handicap accessible.”

24 Hour Restaurants
“Great food, such friendly and knowledgeable owners. Wish they could get away from the smokey casino, they would be 10/10. As of now, service 10, food solid 8, hospitality 10, location 4. Spicy means spicy! Will be back!”
“Free drinks and you can actually get more than one . The bartender Matt and the girl Tracy are flipping amazing . Great customer service always nice and ALWAYS ALWAYS ”
“We don't have enough late night bites restaurants in Carson City. It's a good thing that Casino Fandango and the Palm Court Grill have us covered!Being a night owl, coming from a larger city, bustling at night, Carson City is quite sleepy.Thankfully, there are a few places that stay open even at 2am.I've tried their French Dip, Western Bacon Burger, Buffalo Wings and their footlong Fandango Dog with chili. The French Dip and fries were quite delicious. As good as any other I've had and more beef than the Nugget usually adds to theirs. I would highly recommend it!The Western Bacon Burger is clearly based on the Carl's Jr. equivalent. It was quite delicious! If I have a hankering for a BBQ burger, now I know where I can get one!BTW, an important note for the lactose intolerant and/or those who are not fans of cheese, while the menu doesn't say so, the Western Bacon Burger comes with a slice of cheddar or American cheese. I'm not sure which. Be prepared to request the removal until their menu is adjusted. They were able to remake my meal without any issue. The Buffalo Wings are juicy and well brined. The hot sauce is excellent. The slightly sweet acidic notes, the tomato base, and balanced heat make these wonderful appetites for those not afraid to get their hands messy. The Fandango Dogs' largest issue owes to a high salt content. Though that's the case, it's flavorful and a portion that should satisfy those with big appetites. So far, that's all I can review aside from the waitress that's usually working at this time. She's quite polite and does an excellent job. Though it's late at night, it's clear that good service comes first!”
“Everything you order at Roberto's is always authentic to Latino heritage. The Menudo was excellent and the burritos can be beat. Portions and prices make this place a great value. Friendly help the staff and a convenient location had a to a perfect place for you or the whole family.”
“Honestly I've had fast food for years the only place that has stayed the same quality is burger king I love this location and would reccomend this store over all the other the people are kind food is the same for 20 years and the price is perfect for what you're paying for best burger king I've been to by far. However if you're looking for a good dollar menue del taco down the road is just alright.”
“Food could have been a lil better , it was good but just felt uninspired and not made to impress. Service was fire out waitress killed and came with all the cool suggestions. Atmosphere was on point super intimate and gave us a chance to spend quality time together.”
“My husband and I both were craving a good salad bar. This place filled the craving! Many selections for lettuce and toppings. The only thing I would like to see is more protein selections, but all was fresh, clean and delicious. The staff was very friendly too. I also got a smoothy. It was a coco banana, I think. Very good! The dining area was clean and spacious. A great place to go!”
“Dined at this fine establishment with my family for the first time last night and really enjoyed everything about it. The restaurant was charming, the service was prompt and polite and there was even a gentleman playing lovely tunes on a keyboard. I will say that the food portions were on the smaller side but for me personally, that's the way I prefer it and especially if it's really good. And I will say, the halibut I ordered and the chicken cacciatore my wife order was fabulous. Same can be said about the lemon cake we had for desert. For as long as we've lived in Carson City, I'm a little disappointed in myself for not coming down to eat here sooner. We'll be returning for sure!”
Takeout Restaurants
“Besides whatever addictive magic In n Out has in its burgers that makes people line up for ridiculous amounts of time in the drive through at lunch, the Carson City location has wonderful workers and atmosphere.”
“I love this place! Great ice cream and the best quesabirrias around. Great price on the quesabirrias too. The family that owns/runs Axohelado is very nice as well.”
“The food was outstanding, so that makes everything okay. This place is super busy and it's tough to get a table. There is not a romantic atmosphere, but the food is great.”
“Tried two of each chicken and pork red salsa tamales.Meat in both tamales was well seasoned and tasty with plenty of sauce inside as well. The masa was also well seasoned and flavorful in both. Moisture was perfect with my preferred masa consistency. Served with a side of green salsa that was delicious.Transplant from the Arizona Mexican border I've been in the Reno/Carson area for over 7 years.I've tried street vendor tamales, fundraising tamales, tamales from local restaurants, my all-time disappointment, FB marketplace $30 a dozen tamales. The Lady Tamales By far, the best tamales in this area I've tasted with the best per dozen prices.Parking: There is plenty of parking with a large lot and easy street access for an rv.”
“EXCELLENT! A standout experience. Atmosphere was perfect, clean, food was awesome and came very fast. Servers were attentive. Very clean. I’m from out of the area and wish this was near my home!”
“Not a huge fan of restaurant/casinos but at least this one was on the side with own entrance and not in the middle of casino. However - I had the French toast with bacon sausage and scrambled eggs. && Fish and chips.Loved the French toast, Eggs were okay, fish had an awesome batter.”
“Rating based in food taste! Purchased a whole German chocolate cake ($32.95), elephant ear ($10), whole fruit tart ($10.96), pull away monkey bread (?) and a slice of tiramisu ($4.95); would absolutely get the monkey bread and elephant ear again. Service could use improvement - girl didn't know what anything, kept on trying to box the wrong items despite telling her names (and pointing) and not customer focused/helpful.”
“This was my absolute favorite Chinese food in Carson. They sold out to Panda Kitchen II. Who ever cooked for China Palace needs to open another restaurant or teach Panda Kitchen how to cook.”
“Westside Pour House is the best "Bar AND Restaurant" in Carson. The food is incredible - I often make special trips just for the Pretzel Balls.Their bar is well stocked and professionally staffed; each seat has a basic Poker/Keno/Blackjack Slot Machine. The bartender during my visit impressed me - the son of a long-time bar tender & Night Club manager!Expect an older crowd (30's+). Which means LOUD Karaoke. They have an extra room for private events, but it is typically open to the public and includes a couple of pool tables. If I was a bit older, didn't value my hearing and enjoyed bad (and LOUD) karaoke this would certainly be my bar of choice over any of the others in town.Parking: There are roughly 30 angled 2HR on Telegraph St.YOU MUST turn off of 395 (Carson St): Telegraph is One-Way heading East.If there are no parking spots, head East down Telegraph and pass Curry (One-Way South).Take a left (South) on Nevada and you will see 2 parking lots on your left (West) ~2 blocks down.”
“The go-to breakfast place in Carson. Great early morning atmosphere and Siovhan and Billy are the best. Great food and GREAT service. A little pricey but you definitely don't get cheated, and supporting a local place with a lot of history is worth it.”
“My dish was a special pork dish. The vegetables and sides were perfectly done and sized. It was all absolutely delicious. Our server was delightful. Altogether, it is a wonderful place to enjoy a special meal in Carson City.I have since returned 4 times and each time I try something different. Absolutely everything I eat is fantastic. The servers are always accommodating and very pleasant. One of my absolute favorites in Carson City. Actually better than several Thai restaurants in Portland Oregon. Go, you'll love it!The pictures attached to my review are not in The Basil, but the review was for Basil. The photos are in Garibaldi Restaurant next door.”
“Great food, fast service, and a lovely atmosphere. The music is loud enough to hear but not so loud it makes it hard to hear your meal mates. It lends itself to a nice, relaxing time at lunch or dinner with friends. I recommend the Mole! Reminds me of the stuff one of my tias (aunt) used to make me when we'd visit! The plato Colorado was also delicious. I haven't had anything bad there! Try it all, come back and try something new! You'll enjoy it.”
“This was just an okay food experience, when they brought the chips and salsa we got excited because the salsa is delicious, and I got a Sunday funday afternoon margarita (my own name for having a noon cocktail on Sunday lol) which was also very very good. “Best house margaritas and best and always changing new flavored margaritas. Also can't best the food, best Mexican food around. But today was awesome. They had corn beef tacos that were absolutely amazing! If you missed them, you will probably have to wait until next Saint Patrick's day.”
“Surprisingly this was a very good Is port of subs. I was waited on promptly the food was very good my Sandwich was made the way I Requested. The place was clean and I was in and out under 10 minutes. Prices were fair.”
“The cheese curds are no longer on their menu but were replaced by mozzarella sticks. They were fully cooked through which is awesome! Their marinara had just a little hint of spice to it. Had their meat lovers thin crust pizza and was delicious! Waitress was great too!”
“Despite the name of this Cafe that let me overlook the place as an Asian restaurant, I came here for some Chicken Teriyaki upon studying its menu and what they served me was excellent!I had a bit of craving for the teriyaki and the miso soup was a great addition to my meal. The gyoza were a bit too light on the filling, but they were crispy and tasty. The food was well presented, and included with my meal was a refreshing cucumber salad with a vinegary flavor. It had a peculiar topping that I couldn't identify. Imitation crab, maybe? I'm no expert on shellfish, so I can't tell you what they topped it with.Since my grandfather was allergic to shellfish in general and my family didn't eat it often, I just avoid it these days. I still tried a taste of it. Looking at the picture, someone might be able to guess what it is.This place used to be a sandwich place when I was younger. While I miss their French dips with chips, I've gained a place to enjoy some good Teriyaki! Change doesn't have to be frightening!PS: The service was excellent. The woman that served my table brought everything in intervals. I didn't have to wait too long for anything. The asian cuisine program they had up on the tv was interesting (probably one of the most deaf-friendly forms of entertainment I can think of, not to mention interesting.)”
“John and DJ offer unique creations. Johns secret garden has most lemon Ive ever experienced on sushi. Very light! Delightful! The Og Bri with out lemon. All excellent! Enjoy!”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“I told the lovely girl at the window that I wanted a blended coffee with chocolate and caramel and that I liked it sweeter more than bitter. This was the best coffee I've ever ordered. I wish I would have taken a picture of it but I didn't think that far ahead. Fabulous job! 10 out of 10!”
“Staff is always extra helpful and friendly at this specific location. It's always clean, they have a play area that seems pretty clean also. The drive thru is fast even when the line is long.”
“Stopped in to initiate a food purchase, and I was not disappointed! I got the turkey bacon ranch, and a small Chili before going on a trip, and they were made well, and not a long wait in line.Overall, this place isn't talked about enough, and I definitely recommend it as a fast sandwich stop!”
“Great food. Service is always a mix. Most days fast and friendly. Some days they serve customers after us because it got busy... Will still be back, but it can be slow/frustrating.”
“Okay so the atmosphere is not all that great, even though I gave it five stars because the food quality & flavor is so out of this world -good! ? I order the shrimp fajitas with extra tortillas. I had some refried beans and some avocados from home and I can eat on this for five or six meals. Once I still had some leftover and it made breakfast shrimp fajita tacos with scrambled eggs and bacon, for me and my grandson for meal stretch number seven and eight at 2 tacos each??.??”
“The girl at the drive through was very nice. Once I pulled up to the window, I got my order right away. This was Friday at 4:30 PM & they were ready for the rush.”
“we love the foodVegetarian options: we love it allDietary restrictions: on high way 50 carson city nvParking: goodKid-friendliness: yes it isWheelchair accessibility: yes it is”
“Unlike the location in Reno off of Mount Rose Highway, I got a freaky fast sub that was decent. Imagine that that Reno store really needs to change in management. To highlight this Carson City store, though they did an amazing job and it literally was freaky ”
“Del Taco is one of the few fast food places that still has decent food and doesn’t charge ridiculous prices. I can always count on them when I can’t figure out what to get for dinner.”
“Atmosphere is good, service is friendly, food is also good. My problem is I wish they would listen when you don't want something added. Might seem trivial but I've been here 3 times. 1st time I didn't think to say anything, 2nd time I asked no pepper, 3rd time husband said no pepper. Got pepper each ”
“So I love a good fish sandwich. They got one now, but who knows for how long. It's at a good price if you get the two for six deal. Wow. A three dollar fish sandwich that's pretty good too. Ahh, the good ol days. I'll keep visiting til they run out. Then once in awhile for brisket. It's good too but kinda expensive. ?”
“It was a walk down memory lane. I hadnt been to a DQ in forever and it was just as tasty as ever. My only issue was the it smelled like sewer gas inside. They have some sort of plumbing issue. Owners need to look into that maybe pour some hot water down the drains.”
“After a long wonderful day I couldn't wait to pick up some dinner for my kids. Problem was I was on a budget.I went here and got 4 XLNY pizzas for $30!!The two young people who took my order were very nice. They worked fast and made the very well. They were done so quick.Thank you for hiring very nice young people.”
“Every time I get breakfast they have a guy washing the driveway with high pressure washer and a bucket of soap. This should be done at night I don't appreciate the over spray all over my car. I actually think they are violating the law by throwing a bucket of soapy water on the driveway and washing it into the street. It then goes down the gutter. I've stopped going to this location because of this.”
“So I hit up the drive thru because it's 3rd quarter of Rams/Lions and I wanna get back home soon. I cruise straight into the drive thru and no cars, rad! Immediately greeted on the intercom crystal clear. I order a burrito and woman at the window greets me with a sunny smile just being super pleasant. I wait maybe 3 mins thinking "cool, seems like they are making it to order instead of half-assing it". Burrito pops out and I'm like "Nice that was quick!" Props on that bueno efficiency. So far my experience is in the 4-5 star range. Their queso blanco burrito seemed like a fair value for 10 flat after taxes. Not bad for a fast food burrito. Filled me up and not super sloppy. My Locos came in really clutch for my situation that night.”
“Service was great with a Great atmosphere!!!! The margaritas are amazing, the food came fast and was really good, all homemade not pre-made. I will definitely come back when in Carson!!”
“Aaron helped me check out the other day and he was AMAZING!!! He knew every solution to help me out and was so kind and understanding to my complicated method of payment! He is incredible and I am so glad he was there to help!! -Z”
“Good selection of cowboy boots and western wear I say and accessories but the jewelry in their showcase the gold was fake as f*** but the leather on their boots were real”
Cheap Eats
“Such a nice breakfast place! We shared the avocado toast and some pancakes and they were splendid. It is worth mentioning that the service was absolutely fabulous, with all the personal being extremely friendly and personable. Cherry on the cake, the inside is very charming and brand new. Strongly recommend!”
“Leaving the experience of their stupid app aside (corporate office issue, not this stand), the coffee and freezes are always great and there is always a group of good characters working there. Always upbeat and positive and they never fail to give me a smile or at least a chuckle.”
“The cocktails here are something more suited to a trendy san Francisco bar than what one might expect for Carson City. Their cocktails are excellent and their selection of spirits is above part for Carson. I would recommend for anyone in Carson looking for an awesome atmosphere and excellent drinks. Live music is a bonus!”
“The food at Bamboo Garden is consistently delicious. My entire family has been going there for years. Great place to celebrate special occasions. They don't skimp on the servings. The leftovers are so good. The service is great. The owners are friendly and aim to please. I highly recommend Bamboo Garden. The best Chinese food in N. Nevada.”
“Been coming here since H.S., moved away and hadn't been back for years... but nothing has changed! Food, service, and atmosphere all still a 6 star rating!Took my family here last week and "Salsas" is now their favorite too.Sooooooo goooood! Muuuuuuy Bueeeeno!”
“Latinx soul food. SO GOOD. Great food Served with pride. Best the 4 of us had all week on our trip to Carson City. Charming little place with maybe 5 for four top tables. And a small counter. The atmosphere may not be for the Karen's of the world but I LOVE this place. Never change.”
“Girlfriend was sick an was in the hospital so sage Cafe was the easiest thing. food was actually pretty damn good an prices were great like before inflation jacked food prices through the roof. Serving size was great.Parking: It is a parking lot at a hospitalWheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible because it is inside a hospital.”
“The go to coffee shop. Haven't had a bad experience yet! Love the music and the energy of the baristas.Always have a good time getting coffee there, and the 9-1-1 is the perfect pick me up on a long shift.Vegetarian options: Coffee, juice, and more coffee!Parking: Small parking area but it's mostly drive through anyway.Kid-friendliness: Awesome vibe, and there's definitely kid friendly drinks.Wheelchair accessibility: No need, it's drive through”
“This is a cool little coffee shop in old Town carson. Outside seating with a fireplace some tables inside and a chill atmosphere. It's my goto spot when I'm in carson ”
“One of the best restaurants in the Carson City/Reno area. Make a day trip and go for lunch on Saturday and then go to Carson Hot Springs across the parking lot and finish your outing with a great local beer from the Shoetree Brewery next door and live music to enjoy along with the outstanding selection of beer and ales.”
“La Capital Cafe and Grill went above and beyond my lunch expectations. The atmosphere exuded warmth, and the menu showcased a splendid array of options. The attentive service, coupled with beautifully presented dishes, made each bite a flavorful journey. The chef's meticulous attention to detail shone through, elevating the overall dining experience. This establishment has seamlessly blended top-notch ingredients with expert preparation, earning it a well-deserved spot among my favored dining spots. I eagerly anticipate a return visit to delve further into their diverse offerings. For a gratifying and enjoyable lunch, I wholeheartedly endorse La Capital Cafe and Grill.”
“It was nothing to cheer about, but it wasn't horrible. I would eat there again, but it is far from homeParking: Tight for bigger vehiclesWheelchair accessibility: It's there, I can't say more than that, I don't use it”
“It's been a year since our last visit to La Salsa Grill, as we're not in Carson City much to dine out. We met our family friend here (it's his favorite local restaurant) for a spontaneous outing. The place is very friendly and Daphne was helpful and kind. I had the shrimp tostada (5/5) which was light, fresh tasting and delicious. Hubby ordered the fish and shrimp soup (5+/5) and our friend ordered the albondigas soup (5/5 from the sample he had me try), it's also his favorite! Hubby shared his soup with me too and it was really delicious. I will order that dish next time! We all loved our food. Flavors are great! Loved all the aloe plants and the festive decor as it makes it a very pleasant place to have a meal with friends. We'll be back!”
“Stopped in for breakfast, coffee and lounging before an appt. I was immediately greeted by a super friendly server with a menu and water. I ordered a dirty chai (yum!) 2 eggs and toast - they had Dave’s Killer Bread (win!). My food came out in minutes, hot and well presented. Everything was great. I love the vibe here, it’s Alice in Wonderland theme and the perfect place to enjoy a hot bev and relax.”
“Food was very tasty. I had Generals Chicken, the flavors were spot on. Chow Mein has good flavoring to it. Auntie had the Scallops and Snow peas. Scallops were tender and plentiful with a generous amount of veggies. Both the Egg drop and Hot & Sour soups were superb. The place is cosy. Just around 12 tables. Stuff is friendly and helpful. Ambiance is nice.”
“The food is fantastic but the service is less than. We sat in the lobby for 20 min waiting for a table and even asked about the bar and was told we couldn't sit there but then they let two other couples sit there after we had already asked. When we did get sat the server forgot my fiance's beer and the paper to order. They then switched servers without telling us, but the new server was a lot better.”
“It was a slow night, but we were spoiled with attention at the Sushi counter. Our chef was incredibly fast, friendly and attentive. I have several special.food needs, and our chef was super accommodating.”
“Another restaurant I haven't been to in years. But boy, I am so glad we came here to celebrate a family member's birthday.Needless to say, they have room for special events and private parties. So if you are looking for a venue keep them in mind. The Prime Rib was outstanding. Indeed, it was the best Prime Rib I have had in a very long time. Our waiter and the Maitre de were outstanding. They made us all feel so welcome and almost like we were family. We all are still raving about the Prime Rib.There is something so wonderful about a place treating you like family. The human connection is something we all want. It is so awesome to feel appreciated and connected to our world and others. The staff here were outstanding. Everyone commented on the service we received. The appetizers and salads were tasty. The family members who had the salmon said it was excellent. Everyone was pleased with their meal. Portions are generous. All of us remarked on how good the food was. Not to mention, the price was right. The ambiance might be a little lacking. There are no tablecloths. However, keep in mind that tablecloths come with a cost of their own. They need to be laundered and then some need to be replaced. So there would be an added cost.So the question is would you prefer a little more ambiance or a cheaper price for an excellent meal? However, if you are looking for excellent service with delicious food at a reasonable price then this is the place for you.Not to mention, that the drive to Carson is beautiful. Plus there are plenty of things to do in Carson to enjoy. Perhaps it is time to beckon back to a slower pace of life. Take a nostalgic trip to Carson to see the Capitol all decorated for Christmas. Stop in at the Nugget and enjoy a dinner at the steakhouse.I wish I could remember the name of the Maitre de and Waiter I hope that management sees this review and gives the KUDOS and a big SHOUTOUT for delivering such great service. THANK YOU BOTH from my family.”
“Just the best in town if you want good food this is the place To go. As soon as you walk through the door, you're hit with the amazing smells coming from the kitchen. The service is out of this world. With food, this good you know there cooking from the heart. If you're another restaurant reading this, this is how it's done. Go there and take notes.”
“I can't say if it is good or bad. I only use the ATM here because CVS always has an issue with theirs. They do have a $4 dollar transaction fee though. Always check for Skimmer devices when using any ATM and make sure you have a bank that closely monitors your account.Parking: Parking lot is not friendly to your vehicle even Classic vehicle.”
“Smoothies are always great.Usually friendly staff.Although terrible phone service.I had to call for something. Called 3 times and no one picks up. Just goes to a robot saying their busy and can’t service at this time pretty much.”

“OK, so I’m a new Carson City, Nevada gal and this Restaurant .. wonderful food wonderful service best pizza I have ever eaten tonight. We mixed it up a bit and got the wings which were amazing. Can’t go wrong with this place from the person who answers the phone to the food that’s prepared and the person that represent them are amazing thank you thank you thank you so much.”
“Peg's is always a great place for breakfast especially if you enjoy island dishes like a Loco Moco, Portuguese sausage and of course, spam and eggs. And I should note, I've been to a lot of Peg's from Reno to Vegas and they're all just a bit different one to the next. That said, I especially like the one here in Carson City because of the way they cook the above mentioned dishes and LOVE their specific mac salad. A pro tip of mine is to order up a side of pico to go with your meal as it's fresh and delicious! My wife always like to order up their Belgian waffle with banana fosters or the Plaza Omelette and I can never resist finishing up what she can't eat. Peg's can get pretty busy on the weekends, especially on a Sunday after church lets out so if you're coming in with your family, you should know there might be a wait.”
“The chefs/owners/servers are very kind. They, husband and wife team, will adjust your dish to your own personal health and diet requirements. It does take a little time to wait for our food, but that is because our food is being freshly prepared. I do highly recommend this place, the food is delicious.”
“It's a hole in the wall neighborhood bar...and that makes it cozy...we walked in and everyone was so friendly...well that is except the bar tender, made us feel like she could care less if we were there or not...even after spending $100 on drinks for our group throughout the night we couldnt get even a smile outta her...we really liked the regular gang and the kareoke was fun, though they need to turn it up a bit, especially the mike...and we would love to come back there, but prob won't only because of the sour puss service...”
“This is the only time in my life that I couldn't finish my eggs Benedict. Well, I finished them, but as a doggy bag at lunch.Portions were AMAZING, and the food was delicious. The waitress brought us a "sample" of what was basically a bananas foster pancake, sweet jesus, I have thought about that delicious buttery sweet breakfast dessert everyday since.”
“I was staying in a hotel, and I stopped here for breakfast for the next day. It's a very big store with a good display and a big selection. Some prepared foods.”

My relatives enjoyed the food and fixings, the cheese enchilada was a hit! It's even better the next day. I will recommend them to friends and relatives? Friendly staff.”

“Besides whatever addictive magic In n Out has in its burgers that makes people line up for ridiculous amounts of time in the drive through at lunch, the Carson City location has wonderful workers and atmosphere.”
“I heard about the opening of Shaq's Big Chicken in Carson City on the news awhile ago. I was in CC so I thought I would try them out The place is pretty big with a lot of tables, a bar area and a few televisions. What caught my eye was how clean the place looked. Not messy like some fast food places. I ordered the Uncle Jerome's Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and sweet potato fries. I tried the house sauce and buffalo hot sauce. The sandwich had a good size chicken breast with a nice amount of pickles and it was slightly hot a 5/10. I've had hotter at Hattie B's in Nashville. But when I added the buffalo hot sauce it pumped up to 8/10. The sweet potato fries were crunchy and with a good distinctive flavor. The fries were good on their own but I dipped them in the house sauce which had a nice tangy flavor. The service was professional but nothing stood out. You are given a vibrating buzzer to pick up your order. I enjoyed the food and will definitely come back to try the other sandwiches and coleslaw. Recommended!”
“The go-to breakfast place in Carson. Great early morning atmosphere and Siovhan and Billy are the best. Great food and GREAT service. A little pricey but you definitely don't get cheated, and supporting a local place with a lot of history is worth it.”
“Let's be real honest here. I don't think I've ever been to a Denny's before 10pm. Not to say I don't pretty much always order breakfast. It's America's diner, it may not be the cheap thrill it used to be, and all of us late night heroes may miss the 2-4-6-8 menu just a little too much. But if you can get over the ghosts of menus past and the one old guy who seems to have nothing to do but read the paper at Denny's during the late night hours, you'll love it.It doesn't just suffice,it satisfies. So go get drunk with your friends and wind up at a Denny's. You won't regret it, at least the Denny's part.”
“This is the oldest McDonald's that I know of in Nevada in Carson City. Food, service, and cleanliness of the building is almost always tip top. And for $5.30 you can still get a Happy Meal with a regular burger, medium size fries, a medium soda or all coffee, and a toy and dessert/fruit; which I think is at least a decent little meal that won't break even the most humble of people, and I afopt the little toy animal out to the nearest kid I see to make them smile...”
“Everything you order at Roberto's is always authentic to Latino heritage. The Menudo was excellent and the burritos can be beat. Portions and prices make this place a great value. Friendly help the staff and a convenient location had a to a perfect place for you or the whole family.”
“Visited multiple times over 3 day stay. Always friendly, accommodating, and great food and service. Love the train out front, especially since the city has a train museum.Wheelchair accessibility: I have a 4 wheel walker. There are double door entry and was easy access. There is no public restroom in restaurant, so you have to go into the casino for that”
“Great food, fast service, and a lovely atmosphere.
“EXCELLENT! A standout experience. Atmosphere was perfect, clean, food was awesome and came very fast. Servers were attentive. Very clean. I’m from out of the area and wish this was near my home!”

I eagerly anticipate a return visit to delve further into their diverse offerings. For a gratifying and enjoyable lunch, I wholeheartedly endorse La Capital Cafe and Grill.”
