“My wife and I have loved the Basil for years, for it’s delicious food, great service, and relaxing ambiance. I personally love the Basil because the food is always fresh, nutritious and great tasting. Recently we chose them to provide catering for a 35-person birthday celebration at our home. We were extremely impressed by the time and attention that Chai gave to the planning of our event. The result was a beautiful set-up of amazing food and appetizers. Our guests totally loved it! Whether it’s for a simple lunch, a romantic or family dinner, or all-out catering, we can’t recommend The Basil enough!”

“The Fox Restaurant & Brewery is a fantastic pub in the heart of Carson City! The traditional pub atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and full of character—perfect for a relaxing meal or casual night out. The service was excellent from start to finish—friendly, efficient, and impressively quick without ever feeling rushed. I ordered the Cottage Pie, and it was absolutely delicious—rich, hearty, and full of comforting flavor, with tender meat and creamy mashed potatoes baked to perfection. You can tell the kitchen puts care into every dish. If you’re in Carson City and looking for a great meal in a warm and inviting setting, The Fox is a must-visit pub. Highly recommend!”

I ordered a burger that came without mayo or mustard and when I asked for mustard it was an additional .50 my husband asked for blue cheese instead of ranch it was also an additional .50 we ordered a child sized apple juice which was over $5 but the worst part was the service. Our waitress was the worst. She never asked if we needed anything so many things. I took one bite of my burger and it was so nasty. The other guests were nicer than she was. At $175 for our meal our service should have been better. We will certainly pick another restaurant for our next visit to Carson City.”

The food is always incredibly fresh, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. Even the sushi is unbelievably fresh!! You can truly taste the quality in every bite.
Everything at Ming’s is consistently excellent. From the delicious food to the beautiful presentation, they never miss a detail. The staff is absolutely amazing ,friendly, welcoming, attentive, and always make you feel like a valued guest.
It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers perfection every single time, but Ming’s does just that. If you’re looking for incredible Chinese cuisine, fresh sushi, and outstanding service, this place is a must-visit. I can’t recommend Ming’s enough!”

Plus it's a local, family-owned business, and the friendly staff are always a delight. The only thing I dislike about this shop is that it closes so early in the afternoon.”

“Very pleased with everything this place has to offer. Staff is top notch when bringing you a drink. Smokes are cheap oh and bic lighters a 1$ you cant beat that anywhere I promise that. I mean everyone snags or always has the same color as you when it comes to lighters so holding onto them is difficult so thank you dottys for that for sure. The machines are great to play winning is decent I see others win quite frequently I just have crazy luke I guess but still good spot to visit. It's every right off the freeway so hopefully off and go play to take mind off driveing.”

“4 for dinner. Order at counter. Chile rellenos, tacos, enchiladas, burritos all hot and tasty. Food served in Styrofoam containers with plastic utensils which I personally did not like. For customers eating in the restaurant, food should be on plates. Plastic knives cut through Styrofoam.
Restaurant was quiet as there were only 2 other customers in the restaurant at 6PM on Friday.”

“My wife and I love the atmosphere and customer service. We frequent often and we adore Barbara, the Hostess/Greeter. All we ask, regarding the coffee, is that you assess the brand and/or water to ground coffee ratio. No where near the quality of surrounding casino coffees. It tends to keep us away for that reason only, lately. Thank you.”

“What a unique gem of a coffee shop. Super fresh food and juices and the interior is wild-- lots of unique antiques playfully arranged in a spacious historical building. I am currently unable to stop ordering the 'June's Benediction' (two pesto-topped eggs + spinach on English muffins). The wait staff is sweet as well. Certainly my newest favorite spot in Carson.”

“We were introduced to this restaurant last year by our dear friend and neighbor. We were living in TX at the time. FF to now. We moved to Carson March 1st. This has been our go to Mexican Restaurant for over 7 months now. We have tried several, but still come back here. The food is outstanding. The owner is really sweet. Best waiter around is Bobby. Request him any day but Wednesday!! He will take care of you. All the waitstaff have been amazing. Food is always hot fresh and made to order. Actually going there today for lunch as it's been a few since our last visit. Will post pics on my next review!! The #27 is our go to. 4 enchiladas. We will get 2 with the ground sirloin and 2 with cheese with rice, refried beans and albondigas soup. We share for lunch and have enough to eat for dinner. 5 stars across the board”

“My wife & I love this restaurant. Their location at Longley & McCarran is ideal for all of South Reno, and a nice, really short drive for the residents of Hidden Valley and Donner Springs. The staff is super friendly, and the wait for your meal is truly minimal. Best thing is the food quality and generous pours. 2nd best thing is their “no rush” philosophy, so you don’t feel rushed to eat at all. Plus they have ample space for larger groups. This is a great restaurant, and everyone should take advantage of the location and experience.”

Este restaurante atendido por una madre y sus tres hijos y con precios razonables está altamente recomendado en mi opinión”

“I buy certain items at the Carson City Costco all the time. What annoys me to no end is that in Carson City, where there are 2 stores, they have stopped carrying their signature brand Simply Purrfect kitty litter. I have 6 cats and have used this for "years". People from Mammoth, Coleville, Bridgeport, Yerington stock up on this Signature Brand "Simply Purrfect". I'm Now I have to drive 80 miles one way to get it?!!!! This is ridiculous and this is like being out of Costco toilet paper to me. Please if anyone agrees with me, please respond on Costco Facebook and call the corporate offices and complain too. I've tried other litters. There is no comparison. It climps hard, tracks very little, doesn't stick to the bottom of the litter box. It is Ridiculous to have a signature brand that now is discontinued at the Carson City Stores. Please restock the Carson City Stores with this litter. at least the one on Clear Creek Drive. It is closer yo all who live South of Carson who shop there.”

“When I think of a diner, this is what I want to experience.

The food is down to earth but delicious. I had the daily special of Eggs Benedict. The portion was good for the price point. The sauce was a little broken but tasted delicious. The hash browns had the perfect crisp to them.

The wait staff are all personable and you can tell they know their regular guests.

Coming here on a Tuesday morning had a low key atmosphere. Rock and roll music plays in the background and you feel like you’re in an old school diner.

Having been a barista for over 15 years, this location has a dinking around, goofing off, slower than molasses drive through. Lame, because I was really looking forward to my drink. Lame.”

“There were four of us that had lunch at Peg's in Carson City, on April 11. The food was expensive and not what it use to be like before Covid. We had a very rude waitress and the food was a very poor quality and not as it was ordered. Carson is really growing, but you need to keep your quality up or you will not get return customers. It will be a long time, if ever, that we visit again.”

I’ve been very disappointed with the Mexican cuisine here, but this place put a smile on my face, and a full belly. I will probably come back and try something else out for sure. First Mexican place that I can say, “ I would eat here again”, oh and cook seems like a happy guy, he was whistling to the music so that’s a good sign, and the lady who I’m guessing owns the place was very kind, and attentive.”

THANKS Carl's Jr. I wasted a $15 lunch today -- because I just can't leave work to take it back. PLUS -- you didn't even have someone answer my 5 phone calls -- So I am writing my complaint!”
