Always a good spot for some delicious Mexican snacks or drink!
1000/100 recommend! Axohelado made some of the BEST quesabirria I’ve ever had, 3 drool-worthy taco and consome that was so good I wanted to just chug it (and still might), all for only $9.99.
Really fun and adorable little spot, very friendly family that runs it, delicious ice cream with a huge variety of flavors, and all kinds of other Latin American snacks.
Located right next to the Carson Lanes bowling alley, we’ll be regulars here for sure. Go check them...read full review
Delicious artisan ice cream. The Mexican flavor, Chongo, was fantastic. Our next visit will include some take-home paletas. What a hidden gem of a place!

Axohelado Ice Cream & Handmade Mexican Food is a small, family-run restaurant known for its delicious, authentic homemade Mexican dishes and amazing desserts. Customers praise the friendly service, especially from staff members like Angeles, who take pride in providing a warm and welcoming experience. The menu features popular items such as tamales, Quesabirria, and Birria Obsession tacos, which are often described as the best in the area. The restaurant also offers a variety of desserts, including ice cream, paletas, and a Mangonada, with many saying the ice cream is probably the best in North Eastern Nevada and memorable enough to haunt their memories for weeks. Despite being a small "hole in the wall" located near a bowling alley, the quality of food and service makes it a hidden gem worth the trip. Prices are reasonable, and the food is consistently praised for its flavor, freshness, and homemade feel, making it a favorite for those craving authentic Mexican food and desserts.
