“Ok ... total hole in the wall but thanks to yelpstars who brought me here. Basic taqueria no frills but DELICIOUS BIRRIA tacos. Ever since I had these for the first time in Las Vegas about two years ago I've been on the hunt for the best ones in our area and these ones were wow!! chefs kiss. Amazing. I don't eat the onions on them mine are just that soaked meat and tons of cheesy cheese. Ladies working were super nice. Grab a seat and enjoy. I would drive to Carson just for these.“
“Juan's is always a great place for food and friendly service. Juan, his wife. and his "family" of staff are always friendly, helpful, fun, and care about community. Being born and raised in Carson it's a great feeling to see this making a comeback in Carson ❤️❤️“
“3 for dinner. Place was busy. They quickly took our order. Food was ready promptly. The guacamole, chips and salsa were good. The chile rellenos were very good as were the tacos. Enjoyed the Mexican Coca-Cola. We did not like the plastic forks, knives, and spoons. Ambiance is very average.“
“Tried two of each chicken and pork red salsa tamales.Meat in both tamales was well seasoned and tasty with plenty of sauce inside as well. The masa was also well seasoned and flavorful in both. Moisture was perfect with my preferred masa consistency. Served with a side of green salsa that was delicious.Transplant from the Arizona Mexican border I've been in the Reno/Carson area for over 7 years.I've tried street vendor tamales, fundraising tamales, tamales from local restaurants, my all-time disappointment, FB marketplace $30 a dozen tamales. The Lady Tamales By far, the best tamales in this area I've tasted with the best per dozen prices.Parking: There is plenty of parking with a large lot and easy street access for an rv.“
“Great food, fast service, and a lovely atmosphere. The music is loud enough to hear but not so loud it makes it hard to hear your meal mates. It lends itself to a nice, relaxing time at lunch or dinner with friends. I recommend the Mole! Reminds me of the stuff one of my tias (aunt) used to make me when we'd visit! The plato Colorado was also delicious. I haven't had anything bad there! Try it all, come back and try something new! You'll enjoy it.“
“Took my father to eat here, everything was really good. I jad the wet burrito, which was HUGE. But you could tell all of the ingredients had been seasoned, it tasted so good, I ate more than I should have. But I will be coming back again for sure. Service was excellent. The waitress was really nice. Fortunately, we went when it was not busy at all, so it was peaceful.“
“This was just an okay food experience, when they brought the chips and salsa we got excited because the salsa is delicious, and I got a Sunday funday afternoon margarita (my own name for having a noon cocktail on Sunday lol) which was also very very good. My fiancé (who has a bad dairy allergy) was accommodated nicely to for asking for no cheese or sour cream on anything. He got a side salad with his order of tacos and an enchilada, the salad was decent. His tacos came with absolutely nothing but meat and guac though which confused us because why no veg? But the meat was decent in the taco. I ordered the tortilla soup (which I took one bite of, it was probably personal taste but I didn't like the broth) and two enchiladas and a taco, my taco was stacked (lots of veg) and delicious. However the red enchilada sauce was just not flavorful. It tasted kind of like a broth? I took most of my enchiladas to go so I could eat them later with my fiancés homemade sauce. The space was nice and the service was friendly and accommodating, that enchiladas sauce just killed it for me though. But overall a nice day out.“
“Best house margaritas and best and always changing new flavored margaritas. Also can't best the food, best Mexican food around. But today was awesome. They had corn beef tacos that were absolutely amazing! If you missed them, you will probably have to wait until next Saint Patrick's day.“

“It's been a year since our last visit to La Salsa Grill, as we're not in Carson City much to dine out. We met our family friend here (it's his favorite local restaurant) for a spontaneous outing. The place is very friendly and Daphne was helpful and kind. I had the shrimp tostada (5/5) which was light, fresh tasting and delicious. Hubby ordered the fish and shrimp soup (5+/5) and our friend ordered the albondigas soup (5/5 from the sample he had me try), it's also his favorite! Hubby shared his soup with me too and it was really delicious. I will order that dish next time! We all loved our food. Flavors are great! Loved all the aloe plants and the festive decor as it makes it a very pleasant place to have a meal with friends. We'll be back!“
“Never been there before were told it was a good Mexican restaurant. We were there a Tuesday night it was busy. We sat at the bar. The bar tender was busy but took care of us quickly. Ordered the pork verde and wife had tamales. The food was amazing all of it. The value was great. You must give it a go if you like Mexican food.“
“1st off, I forgot my phone and did not get pics of these amazing plates. The plates were literally 18" across and circular. The restaurant itself was very clean looking. It was a little warm in there, but not unbearable. OK on to the food. The chips were fresh, they bring out a plate of refried beans and bowl of salsa. The salsa was perfect. Had a deep rich flavor with plenty of chopped veggies in it and a little spice. Just enough. I ordered the #6 combination plate. 1 chilli relleno My fave 1 ground beef taco Yumm Yummm 1 enchilada, I opted to try the cheese. It came with rice and beans. This plate was totally full of food. Hubby ordered a #3 combination plate of 3 enchiladas He opted for 2 cheese and 1 ground beef Rice and beans. Another totally full plate. Have plenty left for dinner tonight. Our waitress was Nancy and she was the sweetest. Kept the table clean of unwanted dishes etc It started to get a little busy as we were leaving. But boy oh boy, we will be going back to try some new dishes. This food was great and did not disappoint. Go by and try them out. Their menu is large and so many things to try. One of the few restaurants in Carson City that actually offers queso in the appetizers. Don't know why it's so hard to find queso around here. Will be trying that next trip on a lunch date.“
“I've yet to have a bad meal at this place. The prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, everything seems to be made fresh. The place is a bit old and dated, but kept clean.I think that some of the negative reviews are written by people with very unrealistic expectations. I saw one complaining about no free chips and dip. This is a counter service restaurant and people are complaining about not getting things that are customary at full service restaurants. Go in knowing that this is a no frills, good food at a good price, restaurant, and you won't be disappointed.“
“The smallest and greatest authentic Mexican food joint I've ever been to in America! This place is located directly across the street from Vinny's Minis Self Storage and just down the street from Cinderlite. The gals in the kitchen are always smiling while they cook and speaking Spanish to each other. There is a small counter bar you can sit at and watch them cook or a shelf around the exterior wall with some chairs you can belly up to. Outdoor seating is available too if the weather is warm enough. From the freshly made tortillas to the delicious homemade soups boiling in these huge pots, you will love this place! My personal fav is the asada street tacos but my kids absolutely love the fresh shredded chicken quesadillas and their breakfast plates. Don't blink while driving up Goni road or you will miss this place.“

“I saw a bunch of good reviews and I was like no way, so I had to try it out and they were right the food was excellent the service was great. I forgot to take pictures of the food. I live in reno next time I come to Carson I know where to get some bomb seafood.“
“As a carson resident for over 30 years, this place makes the best snacks known to me in this city. Well worth the cost. I hate seeing one person ruin a place that deserves 5 stars from everyone, the owner works very hard for what is the final product for us and the customer service sets the bar for what is proper for a business. Go here often.“
