I like going here when I'm working in the area we go here for morning meeting sometimes and things. The wait staff is incredibly friendly and they take very good care of us. The food is always good done well. The atmosphere is usually good but sometimes there's just people in there that talk too loud about all the wrong things in my opinion. But that's the area. I wish I had a remote to shut people up sometimes but it has nothing to do with the Black Bear Diner....

The portions are generous. My husband loves the coconut cream pie so be sure to save room, or take a pie home! My disappointment is they don't serve root beer floats until after 3 pm!

Excellent service. Kid didn't receive any strawberries in his fruit, I didn't get my fruit at all. I got a choice of potatoes instead. It's probably just out of season. Servers and staff were excellent, friendly, timely, and filling breakfast :)
