China Palace is now CLOSED and out of business. The former owner Caesar, formally the head Chef at the Fandango, opened this restaurant about 18 months ago. Unfortunately, he was not able to continue running it due to the same health problems that caused him to leave the Fandango. Here is a message from him concerning the closing of this business:"The Cesar Verde Family sends out thanks and appreciation to all our customers over the past 18 months of business. We are selling China Palace and moving on to take care of our health and other family matters. We've enjoyed serving you and hope we can run into you again one of these days."Wish him the best of luck! But at least the people he sold his restaurant to are totally experienced in the restaurant business, it's the people of Panda Kitchen a fixture here in Carson City for decades.I liked the food that Caesar made at China Palace, but the food at the new place Panda Kitchen 2, I gotta say is way better and the portions bigger. They offer so many things the China Palace didn't have ... like roast duck and seafood claypot and other exotic stuff. Everybody has to move on in life!

New owners came in and completely ruined what was the best Chinese restaurant in town. Also extremely stupid to open a second restaurant less than half a mile from the original. If I wanted crappy Chinese food I would have driven the 3 minutes down the street to the original.

This was my absolute favorite Chinese food in Carson. They sold out to Panda Kitchen II. Who ever cooked for China Palace needs to open another restaurant or teach Panda Kitchen how to cook.
