I travel the country west of the Mississippi and test donut shops in every town I visit. Donuts To Go is a clear standout! I benchmark using a raised and a cake, both plain glazed.
This shop nails texture, flavor, and sweetness. The outsides have a delicate crispness, while the insides are soft and smooth. Cake donuts don’t crumble and raised ones have just enough substance to them, but are still airy. And they don’t make a mess when you eat them.
What’s really important to me on top of all that, is I the sweetness. Most shops just go nuclear on sugar: you can’t even taste the donut. This shop has a lovely light touch with the glaze, and its perfect.
I love that they’re open early - /real/ early. But yeah the parking lot is a tight one, especially if you’re in a work truck or similar.

Fun, easy donuts early in the morning. $20 for a dozen of fresh donuts. Easy pick up. Thou must doulnuts are gone by 10:30ish. Opens at 4 thou. I had many kids ask me to get them donuts ftom here. ( kid myself ) And deliver them at school.

Years ago, donuts would give me terrible heartburn... I don't know if it was old grease, or what... but this place has delicious donuts, and they taste great, not heavily fried. Whatever they're doing, they're doing it right. I love how early they are open. We showed up just as they opened and enjoyed some hot, fresh donuts while we jumped into our road trip to California.

All though the outside was a little sketchy, the inside and service is nice. I really like the donuts, the bread has a good crunch, the glaze is fresh and non-flaky.
The donut I bought today was a maple buttermilk glaze donut, the taste was strong but not overwhelming.
Dietary restrictions: Probably dairy and most likely gluten.
