El Aguila Real Mexican Restaurant

Food was good. I got the Chile relleno and enchilada combo plate. I also got a strawberry margarita. It was large and I liked it, but it did feel lacking in the tequila department for how much money you spend on it! My husband got the quesabirria tacos. He said the tacos were good but could have been a bit more flavorful and tender. I liked the beans and salsa for the chips, though the fact that if you want more you have to order them, I wish they provided you with just a little bit more of each. The beans were very tasty. The salsa was good too. Overall the food was good but a bit on the pricier side (for us).

The pozole are really good and the carne asada plate , the host very nice and polite,the restaurant are clean and peaceful to eat .

Over the years I've been to every Mexican restaurant in Carson City, and El Aguilar Real is by far the best. The chips are fresh, not out of a bag. The salsa is also chunky and freshly made. Refried beans come with the chips and salsa. The food is prepared quickly on very large, hot plates. The enchilada sauce, tortillas, beans, everything is apparently authentic and freshly made, not out of jars or packages. The service is fast and friendly and attentive. It's a family owned and family run business. Mom, Dad and kids. I've never been disappointed eating here. Unfortunately they are located at the back of a shopping area with no obvious street signs, so people may not know they're there. With a more exposed location and signage I think they would be doing even better business.

Wonderful family owned restaurant. Owner is amazing and food is consistently delicious. It’s always on my mind whenever I’m in town! 😋

Food was okay, but smaller portions than other Mexican restaurants. Cadillac margaritas seemed lacking some tequila, though the Grand Marnier floater was fine. Service was quick, very friendly and efficient.

One of thee GREATS here in Carson City! I finally found the PERFECTLY tasty Mexican food place out here!!! Fast friendly service and the food is authentic and excellent!!

El Aguila Real Mexican Restaurant? Total taco heaven. Their carne asada tacos are bomb—super tasty and hit the spot every time. And the crew there is awesome—cool, quick, and chill. It’s the kind of place you roll into hungry and leave happy. Definitely keepin’ it on the regular rotation.

Good food and nice seating. The Molcajete is definitely worth a try.

Second time visiting and our young server didn't look excited to be there ,not one smile or a welcoming greeting. She just asked how many and sat us down after 10min another person asked for drinks then our order .Food was 7/10 rice was hard ,beans were ok, meat was flavorless and sauce to watery like a broth instead of a thicker consistency I believe i order a Colorado plate and some spicy shrimp .
