Decent chicken.
They say that they close at 9:30pm however it is 9:20pm Thursday may 29th. The lights are off there's cars in the parking lot. If you walk in to an establishment 5 minutes before they close they're supposed to serve you. Poor customer service. It's not the customer problem you decide to clean up early. It states closed 9:30 not 9 9:05 nor 9:15 9:30.

It was after 8pm so I guess they were want to leave. I looked and tasted like I had the scraps. The wing was dry and the leg was not a favorite. I love El Pollo Loco but I will never go again when they're closing in 30 minutes.
This is my favorite chicken restaurant in Carson City. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. Very friendly and helpful employees. They will make sure to get your order correct and keep you are a happy customer.

It's been 11 years since my last review and I can say with absolute certainty that this particular establishment is a blight upon the entire El Pollo Loco network and community.
The originators need to take away the owner's privilege to call itself by the franchise name! Honestly... how it's survived this long is a miracle.

I frequent this restaurant 2-3 times a week for over a year and always use the drive through. I have seen the restaurant empty as well as completely slammed and I have NEVER received such terrible service as I did today. There were a total of 5 cars in the parking lot, and 5 employees that I could see inside the restaurant through the drive thru window. While waiting for the person in front of me to get his food for 18 minutes, the dog that was in his car climbed into his lap and the woman in the drive thru window reached out to pet the dog and let it lick her hands and arms. We waited another 14 minutes after that for him to get his food, and then came up to the window. Who knows if the employee actually washed her hands, but as disorganized as the employees were inside, I seriously doubt it. I ordered the Poblano burrito, and when I finally made it to the window, the woman dropped the product she was about to give me onto the floor and had to make another, only to find out it was the wrong order. She then had a different burrito made, which she thought was my order, and yet again, was not. After taking my order for the 3rs time, we waited for 23 minutes in the 102 degree heat for the burrito while the guy in the car behind us began yelling out of his window because it was taking so long. (there were 4 cars behind us) This entire time I was looking through the drive thru window and 4 of the 5 employees inside were literally just standing around talking and laughing (directly in front of the window)while one person made the food. I could see that there were no customers at the counter inside the entire time I was at the window. My fiancé in the passenger seat asked me 6 times to just leave because we had waited so long, and it took all the patience I had for me not to open the drive thru window myself and ask the cashier to refund my money so I could be free of this mess. After waiting a total of 45 minutes in line I was finally given my burrito and the guy in the car behind me was irate. There was no apology from the staff about the wait, or for getting the order wrong. In fact, they all had a bad attitude and were very rude. Definitely no customer service skills present there. I must say, I've never had such a terrible experience at a drive thru before, and after over a year of frequenting this restaurant I will not be returning and I will leave negative reviews on every website I can find - that is how disgusted I am.

For the fourth time now I have come in personally rather than the drive through to make my order. Every time it's the same. Double chicken tostada with 2 churros and a half chicken with white meat only (paying more for white meat only as I have the receipts for the markups). For the 4th time in a row... dark meat. Every time. Last time... no salad dressing. Had to drive back to the store to have the whole order redone after getting home and realizing the order was all wrong. My fault for trusting they actually got it right. Assuming they listened. They did not. They never do. In fact the sweet and nice young man who takes my order every time and deals with me returning every time knows my order yet packs it every time and it's wrong everytime. He is amazingly courteous and great at being a cashier but my order is wrong every time. We love El Pollo loco food wise but would be nice if they could get an order right for once. I'm so tired of returning food that will be tossed out because people can read orders. This time I fed the dark meat to the dogs and they were happy. I was not. Again.
Fix it people. Please. Read your orders cause our cashier charged me right... I wasn't fed right. Again. 4th time in a row. Very frustrating.
Next time should I make a scene to ensure I get what I order and pay for? Let's not talk about the meal we threw away due to hair? Or should we? I work next door to you guys. It would be nice if this place was better. Even my colleagues have had issues with take away orders. Never eat in. Always take away or drive through issues.

I ordered dinner through the drive-through. Once I got home, the sweetcorn salad had no corn and the guacamole chicken burrito had no guacamole. I called this location several times and no one ever answered. I left a voicemail to have someone call me back and I never received a call back. I will be disputing the two items from my credit card charge as this is getting ridiculous. What has happened to the quality of our local food places? Obviously this establishment does not care.

Awesome food. Bathrooms need a super deep clean. Everything in there looks old and dirty. Nice employees. Convenient location.
