Update : the restaurant owner replied to my review after almost 4 years pretending to remember the incident. My daughters were 1 year old and 4 year old back then. No their shoes weren’t full of sand because they weren’t wearing shoes. We removed the shoes when we changed them in the car and also changed them to slippers. Stay away from this placeWe went here hoping to celebrate my daughter’s 4th birthday . A nice waiter greeted us and offered us a seat . But they didn’t have booster seats, so we asked him if it would be ok if we took sofa seats and combine the corner tables ( we have two kids and this would have kept them locked between us and from running around ) . He told us that would be ok and left to get somethingWe were having a wonderful day , spent the entire day in the beach , watch the sunset - loads of good memories .But then the owner lady came and very rudely told us to ask before moving chairs . No smile , no please , no greeting and also rudely left . Didn’t even ask if we needed water or even a menu . I didn’t want to ruin the awesome day we were having and didn’t want to throw the waiter under the bus by mentioning that he permitted the change - so we just left . The shrew almost managed to destroy the awesome (daughters birthday) day we were having but we found a good thai place and an awesome ice cream place nearby and thus managed to lift up our spirits againUnless you are so desperate for Indian food that you are willing to lose your dignity - stay away - the owner will ruin your dayP.S: the restaurant was almost empty and had just 5 other guests

The smell of home and the taste of happy. That is the closest description I can say for this place. The fish pakora had a thin crispy batter with the fish cooked just right and still moist and flaky. The best lamb biryani I have ever tasted. The samosa with mint chutney was a welcoming note. I had my biryani with Eggplant Bhartha, and it was phenominal. The meat was so soft and moist and had no gamey aftertaste. The service was top notch. ?You will not be disappointed. Although, reserve your table first for the best experience. We just walked in, but the food was prepared as if they were preparing our fiest the whole morning.

My favorite was the lamb curry with garlic naan, the vegetable samosas were also really good with the sauces. Service was excellent and the chef was warm and welcoming. Will be back again!

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. It was my first time here and we did not know what to expect, but it was above and beyond! First of all, the owner/operator, Dolly, is truly amazing. She might be the most hospitable and humble person I have met in a long time. You can tell she truly cares about the food, her employees, and most of all the customer’s satisfaction. The space is very clean with plenty of open light. It would be a good spot for an intimate date, or to host a larger party. Also, we must give it up for the chef! I am amazed with how many distinct dishes came out of the kitchen in such little time. Each dish was unmistakable discernible. We will definitely be back and we hope this place stays open forever!

My wife, our close friend and I had the pleasure to visit flavors of India. The food was amazing, the portions sizes were perfect and regarding the service that was the icing on the cake. We've never felt so welcomed to try a different type of cuisine. She was so helpful and making sure we were taken care of. This is most definitely going to be on our radar. Also the spice on the side was a perfect addition!

Although the food was good, it was expensive, IMHO, for the amount served. There is an extra charge for credit cards (not mentioned on web site) and I was charged $5.00 more than I signed for on the CC. They did provide a soup that was beyond what I ordered. Too bad this is the only Indian cuisine in Carson Valley.

Drove 20 miles to eat lunch there. When my husband and I walked in the lady was extremely rude. She said they only do dine in with reservations. Nobody was inthe restaurant. She handed us a paper menu and said wait here. She came back and said “sit down, I’ll let you slide this time.”She said her to go order wasn’t due until 3 pm. This was around 2:30. We sat down but left because she made us extremely uncomfortable. The restaurant was dead. You would think she’d be happy for the business. SMH

Absolutely wonderful food at her new location. The garlic naan is so good you'll need 2. Her Chi is just like it was in India as was the food. I like the Chicken Marsala, and several of the other dishes. She is a magical chef. The new place is decorated very nicely, and it's clean and comfortable with some nice Indian music playing. Very pleasant experience. Must visit. Oh, if you are concerned about he "heat" in the dishes, they will make it more mild if you ask. don't miss it though. Dolly also has some dishes and sauces in her cooler case to take with you. Even if you've never experienced Indian food, you must give it a try. Rogan Josh is a lamb dish that is heavenly.

They serve food that is a treat to the taste buds. DO NOT ORDER THE MANGO SMOOTHY. It is addicting and you will be back for more.

The food was amazing. It was quiet in here and they are reservation only. So glad we called. Fast service and amazing portions. I got the chicken korma and it will be my go-to order from now on. I can't wait to come back. 10/10

Wanted to order something for takeout for the first time, they refused because the order was too small. What kind of service is this, so 1 star from me.
