We were looking for a "non-chain" restaurant and found this one. My husband had the Grand Slam and I had avocado toast with smoke salmon and scrambled eggs. The server was very kind. If I lived in Carson City I would eat there frequently.

Everything was just okay. The food was pretty bland with flavor which some people prefer, but not me.

First time here. Ordered a dish I had never heard of before and I was quite surprised. The presentation was delightful, the taste was even more surprising. Can't wait to return to try another dish.

My family & I finally tried La Capital for the first time. It did not disappoint. The decor is El DĆa de los Muertos. They also have a few TV’s playing different sports. Everything was very clean & inviting. I ordered the birria guacamole burger with fries. It was DELICIOUS! Handmade patty with fresh guacamole, birria & sautĆ©ed onions. I didn’t even have room for fries because the burger was huge. My husband had the quesadilla bacon avocado burger with fries which was really tasty too. Our kids got the kids hot dog with fresh fruit (standard hot dog) & the kids bean, rice & cheese burrito with fresh fruit. They were happy with both.
For dessert we got the homemade flan (so good & a nice size slice) & the deep fried cheesecake with ice cream (really yummy). We also had horchata to drink (homemade, not the mix) which was really good also.
Our waitress (Jenny) was extremely helpful & very nice. She made sure we had a great experience & would want to come back again.
We will definitely be back!

Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu with a variety of options which is nice.

Loved it! Welcomed by a very warm ā€œplease, come in.ā€ I was given a great recommendation for the Chilaquiles and was not disappointed, it was excellent! The portions were generous, the atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. I highly recommend.

Cozy atmosphere with friendly service. The chicken tacos were delicious. A sweet pallette of caramelized onions paired with fresh cilantro and radish. It was quiet on a Friday night.

Parking: A limited number of spaces can make finding a spot difficult when busy.

Ordered red chilaquiles, got green instead. Server corrected it by serving me some red sauce. Used the complimentary chips for the red sauce. Red was spicier than normal (for those who dont like spice, beware). Green sauce had a little too much lime juice. Horchata was grainy, but still sweet regardless. $16 chilaquiles with steak, $4 horchata. Total was $23.##. Will come again.

Nice place and good food. We usually get the tacos because they are so delicious. The server was also very kind and brought water for our dogs to the outdoor seating area.

Stopped by for a to go order of Jalisco Tacos. Omg so delicious absolutely delicious. I had to wait because they got overwhelmed with people. I understood but they still gave me delicious flan to make up for my wait. Trust me the flavor of the food more than made up for the wait. Whatever you eat here is always good!!

Check this place out for a casual meal and good variety on menu. Appears as a Mexican restaurant but more like a good grill. Had a great roast beef sandwich tonight, good service. Maybe try more diverse music to attract wider clientele.
Thanks!
