Where do I even start? From the very first time I contacted TJ, he was incredibly polite, attentive, and eager to accommodate all of our needs. We had the pleasure of having TJ and his amazing team cater our wedding, and they truly went above and beyond.
From the planning stages to the big day, TJ kept in constant communication to ensure everything would be perfect and it absolutely was! The food was phenomenal, so good that going back for seconds was a must. The setup was beautiful, and their professionalism and attention to detail really stood out.
All in all, Tee Jay’s Corner Cafe exceeded our expectations and helped make our special day even more memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Love this place!! Their Drunken Noodle is on point and the curry is amazing!! The employees are wonderful and other than being a tiny hole in the casino, it's totally worth it!! I would give more stars if I could!!

My friend recommended this place and decided to give it a try. There are only few places here and in Reno that serves a really good fried rice, this is one of them. I have also tried the street-style fried chicken and it reminded me of home. I will definitely go back to this place.

Stopped in after work with a friend to enjoy some authentic Indonesian cuisine. It’s so cool that there is such a place in Carson City.

Boy was I impressed! I’ve been to Indo a couple of times and I was transported right back. Nasi Goreng was amazing! The staff were real, friendly and welcoming - our server patiently and thoughtfully walked a couple next to us through Indonesian cuisine. I found this genuine and endearing… it is probable that not many people in Carson have loads of experience with this relatively “niche” cuisine.

WiFi would be a nice touch, and it is unfortunate that it’s in a casino - but I would suggest overlooking these two points for a fun exploration of Indonesian cuisine in the capable hands of the gentlemen running this establishment!

Stopped in here for a quick bite after hearing rave reviews and was not disappointed! I had the mango curry with shrimp and my friend had their red curry. Delicious, fresh, loaded with flavor and veg and spice! Super nice duo, friendly and prompt service. We will be back!

This place was fantastic! Came here with my husband today and we got the gyoza for our starter which was soooo good! The sauces that come on top of them were delicious. For our entrees we got the teri burger and the coconut shrimp po boy. Both of those were amazing! I really wish I got pictures of our food. We will definitely be returning. They have a great selection on the menu there’s a lot more I’m looking forward to trying. The service was also 10/10! Such sweet gentlemen were running the place.

I can't rate the food because we never got that far. Four of us walked in the casino and approached this place not realizing it was only counter service, within the casino, not a separate restaurant with tables. We stopped, had a discussion, and decided to go elsewhere as we preferred a different atmosphere for our dinner. Well, some guy behind the counter saw our hesitation and decided to mouth off..."we were making a mistake, our loss, and don't let the door hit us on the way out". That's an unfortunate response to likely future patrons. I had read all the great reviews of the food and we likely would have been back at another time when we were in the mood for a lunch counter atmosphere, but his attitude was inappropriate and unappreciated....so highly unlikely we'll return. So Tee Jay's Corner's loss !!!

Owner responded right away... glad that you won't come back and repeated the " don't let the door hit ya" ...line. Response has now been edited. Wow, crazy way to run a business! No surprise....it was the owner that doesn't have his name on it!

A Dismal Display of Customer Service: We Will Never Return

My family and I planned on trying Tee Jays for the first as a celebration dinner for my Birthday.

I cannot comment on their food, as I never got the opportunity to try it.
What I can comment on, however, is the absolutely appalling behavior of the cook and owner, which left my family and I stunned and deeply disappointed.

My family was unaware that the restaurant was only bar stool seating with counter service.
After realizing this, we paused to discuss whether this was the atmosphere we wanted for dinner. Our hesitation apparently triggered the ire of the man behind the counter. Instead of letting us quietly deliberate, he decided to chime in with sarcastic and downright rude remarks, proclaiming we were "making a mistake" and that it was “our loss.” If that wasn’t bad enough, as we turned to leave, he mockingly added, “Don’t let the door kick you in the a** on the way out!”

This kind of condescending and unprofessional attitude is, frankly, unacceptable in any business. Customers should feel welcomed, not ridiculed for making a personal dining decision. What’s more, when one of our party left a review detailing this experience, the owner of the restaurant responded, doubling down on the snide remarks rather than apologizing or trying to salvage the situation. Though their response is now edited, the damage to their reputation was done—because this is apparently how they think it’s acceptable to treat potential patrons.

Tee Jay’s Corner may have glowing reviews for its food, but it seems those accolades have done nothing to foster humility or respect in its management. For us, this was a reminder that good food doesn’t matter when served with a side of arrogance and disdain. Tee Jay’s Corner didn’t just lose our business that evening—they’ve lost it permanently.

If you’re looking for a meal served with dignity and hospitality, look elsewhere.
