The Grille

We were in the area to see a play at the Brewery Arts Center and decided to check out Gold Dust West for the first time. We decided to take advantage of their prime rib dinner offer after earning the required points—and I’m glad we did! Everyone from the host to cashier Hunter was friendly, but the standout was Lilly—her customer service was great! She was both friendly and efficient, which really made the experience even better. As for the food …. the prime rib was delicious—and that’s saying something because I’m not usually a big fan of it. Dessert was also a nice treat to end the meal. If you’re in the area, I definitely recommend giving them a try!

Special is not worth it! Over cook and you can't get it out of the shell!

The lobster was cold no butter was severe the mash potatoes were dry and cold the waitress was not nice when she was told about the cold food

First of all we had to wait and there were many empty tables. Either they were understaffed or just wanted us to gamble. My husband had the albacore tuna sandwich, but his bread was definitely not fresh. I had the brisket on Texas toast. I'm not even sure it was Texas toast. It was so burned, I had to cut off all the edges. I didn't want to send it back and have my fries be cold and eat alone, so I chose to cut off the edges. Then nobody showed up to check us out. Fortunately, I had cash and left it at the register. I will not be going back.

Actually surpassed my expectations. I’m not fanatical prime rib guy, but that was one of the best I’ve had. Reasonable prices, too

Great food, great service and fantastic price. For a warm, sit down meal for two, I spent the same amount (before gratuity) as I do at fast food restaurants. This is my new go to.

Food and service were perfect!
We even had our newborn with us and it was not a loud place. Great photos of old Carson City decorate the walls. The price was very good for the portion sizes. Oh and BREAKFAST ALL DAY! How amazing!

I stopped in Sunday morning for breakfast 45 minute wait I lost fifty bucks in the casino waiting and I left so I didn't get to try the grill this trip, last trip they had some good food. This trip 9.99 breakfast big star3.oo pancake add on and coffee 3.00+ tip I could feed four people at home for those prices. And the food was nothing special

Another local that won't be back to The Grille. Absolutely abysmal service. The food was sub-par (7:15pm) but the service is what has me peeved enough to write this. 3 tables with 2 diners, and a to-go order when we came in to eat. We drank water and a cocktail, couldn't get our waters refilled, couldn't get our sides of ranch that were requested when we ordered. Finally got up and asked the busser if she could help us out with the water, she said "well if you haven't noticed we're kind of busy." (NEVER HAVE HAD SUCH A REPLY!) I literally turned around to again scan the room in case I had missed something! "Well not right now but we had had a rush." Not a "whoops, sorry about that, let me help you."
The fryer needs an oil change, and the boyfriend's Awful Awful was pretty dry, along with the bun. So disappointing! By no means are we regulars, but again, we won't be return customers. Had planned to gamble a bit after dinner, but we're so turned off by what happened and the bussers reply that we chose to just go home.

I have worked in the service industry for 20+ years and have several comments at my work places about my exemplary customer service, just shocked at this!

Our waitress Debra's smile brightened the room when she asked what we'd like to order, and she was a lovely ray of joy bringing us our meals after helping us refine our selections. The manager, Sevando, quickly came to our table to politely respond to our request to order takeout and explained the new corporate policy forbiding take-out orders. We had a wonderful chat about corporate cultet & families. They were both so kind & generous, being a genuine joy to speak with & be meticulously served by. My husband had the Special Pork Chili Verde and was in heaven. I should add he knows his tacos as he's from Mexico. We shared the Banana Foster's French Toast and I had the Prime Rib omelet with the 3 cheese potato cassarole. The omelet was superb, the pototo cassarole yummy, and the french toast was tastey. It was a touch tough to chew versus crispy, and would have benefited from more slices of fresh banana, but the bananas that were there had a nice crisp to one side and added a wonderful dimension to our meal. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak & Fried Seafood Combo platter (clams, shrimp, cod, fries...) and found them most excellent! We plan to see them again after enjoying Yosemite & King's Canyon National Parks, amd San Fansisco on our way back to Denver, Co. We hope you will, too! Enjoy!

Pretty good for a casino restaurant. Our waitress kept up on us well enough. The burger I got was pretty good, nice and juicy
