The Red Hut Cafe & Soda Fountain

Oct 2025 Update - Still one of my favorite places to get breakfast. Prices have risen some but not as bad as other places.

I love Red Hut, everything there tastes great and they've got the best waffle recipe anywhere, hands down... I wish the soda fountain was still open, it was great when it was. Glad my kids moved back to Carson recently, gives me a reason/excuse to go again.

Really sumptuous menu with a lot of options for both veg and non-veg. Their serving size is pretty good as well. To top it all the service by Angie was to the mark.
Day:2 Had to edit my review to include and even better experience to with our server Linda. The staff at the cafe is really welcoming and friendly. The preparation was as good as day1.

We were welcomed & seated right away even though the place was PACKED. Our waitress was very nice. The food was very good & came out incredibly quickly! The restaurant was very clean & had an upbeat, happy vibe from the waiters. We will be back!

Food greasy, burgers burnt on one side, sausage burnt, and the fruit is not fresh like they say. And none of our meals came at the same time.

Had a big salad but required a larger bowl to mix it in & they were very accommodating!!! The service was best I've had in CC not just from our waitress but any employee that came past our table always made sure we had everything we needed!! Will definitely go back.

Pancakes and waffles here are inferior. I returned an overcooked waffle and egg and got back just an undercooked waffle with a hard overcooked egg. Cooks do their own thing. Who has heard of a veggie omelette with a choice of ONE veggie? It would cost you 30 bucks for all veggies. This place I loved to dine at has gone downhill. They didn't care enough to knock a few bucks off of my uneaten breakfast either. Yuk

Best breakfast we've had in a long time! Even our picky kids cleaned off their plates.
