Tried Villa Basque for the first time. We went for lunch during the week and the place was relatively quiet.
First thing I noticed was the interior was reminiscent of an old time deli. Not what I was expecting for a sit down cafe with table service.
The server was efficient and had a pleasant personality.
We ordered lamb stew and a rueben sandwich. The lamb stew was a bit of a disappointment. The potatoes had a powdery texture and the lamb meat was dry. The rueben tasted great but was lacking in the amount of meat. The unexpected surprise was the blue cheese dressing on the side salad. It had was one of the best we have tasted.
Overall a pleasant experience.

Very nice Café. Friendly people, that make you feel like they are cooking for you in your own home. I found this place on a google maps search. Great food and reasonable prices. A hidden gem given the quality of food, uniqueness of the Basque menu, and excellent service. We will return often when we are in town

The BEST place I’ve ever eaten in a while! The service is spectacular. The food is amazing. I wish it was in my city. If you’re in Carson City, NV, you have to make this a destination to chow down at.

This is a Mexican restaurant. Not a “Basque” restaurant. Not sure why they’re claiming to be something they’re not.
As far as Mexican restaurants go, I’d say this is about three stars.
Family run. Fair prices. Very good food with a wide selection and very welcoming. We came in with a large group (9 folks) for breakfast. My brother's favorite place in Carson for breakfast and lunch. Room to at outside too in good weather.

It's not authentic Basque except for the chorizo. Otherwise just a deli.
I didn't eat there.
First time eating at Villa Basque Cafe. Stopped in for lunch and ordered the Vaquero. I added an extra tamale to the order. The extra tamale came with extra fixings on it which was a little unexpected. Made it difficult to finish all my food. My friend ordered the quesadilla. The food was delicious and I see why the chorizo is so famous. Perfect flavor and not greasy at all. I can't wait to come back for another visit. The seating was a little tight, but the food was delicious.

What a good breakfast we had. I had the French toast with butter, syrup, and grape jelly, so delicious and airy and fluffy too. The eggs and bacon were good too. Good service there and friendly staff as well. Good job you all.
