Sure, you could stop and grab a delicious cornish pastie for breakfast or lunch. But if you're smart, you'll, bring a travel cooler and stock up. You can get the savory parcels hot and fresh out of the oven, or you can get them frozen in bulk and enjoy them for days and days to come. And you should probably do both.

It was my first time having a pastie. They were delish. I love the history behind the food. How the miners would eat them for lunch. It basically a hot pocket with meat and veggies. I got the beef and potatoes. I loved the hot sauce that came along with the pastie. I also got a delicious apple pie. Thanks for the great experience. I will definitely be back next time.

What a treat for the weary traveler or, I would imagine, for any Elko local. Way tastier than fast food and you get to support a local business. Sweet people running the place too.

The pasties are delicious, the customer service is second to none, but their rhubarb pie is AMAZING! We live in Arizona but have family in Elko; as soon as we start the drive to visit, we call this place to special order several pies. Highly recommend!

Well crafted individual warm Cornish hand pies in an array of flavors; although if you ask for seasonal. Those are usually the best. One of the few food joints that makes everything from scratch; which is why I never get sick. There's no heavily processed trash to be consumed with their food — a rarity nowadays.

These pasties taste great with the best quality yummy ingredients, and the staff is so accommodating. We plan our driving trips through Elko,NV, to stock up on a large variety of menu items. The sauces are sweet or spicy, perfect accompaniment, and store in the fridge for a long time. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed. Cheers!

I've been loving the Cornish pasties from here since they first opened in Palo Alto. Marcie was great, her son carried the tradition to Elko, and the new owners continue to keep the flame alive. The various pasties are all great but my favorite is the Cornish, which is basically a big chunk of ground beef and diced potatoes in a pastry crust. Very filing and a good deal. Sometimes they have frozen pasties to take and bake. The sweet pies are also still excellent; I'm partial to the strawberry rhubarb and pecan pies. The new shop is fine but very limited seating; it's pretty much a takeaway. We make a point to go through Elko every so often just to get a bunch, and we live in Western Oregon. Definitely worth a stop if you're anywhere near Elko.
