A former local friend told her California friend to enjoy the coolest neighborhood "dive bar" here in Ely. Obviously we we not locals: 1 Californian, 1 Australian, and 1 Canadian) soon as walked in,we felt right at home and had a Blast !
Sorry we couldn't stay longer; we've got about 650 miles to go.

We went here for the first time on NYE and it was such a good vibe. The new owners have really spruced up the place and they are wonderful people! They don't allow smoking or vaping inside, although strange for a Nevada bar, it is actually a nice change to not smell smoke while I'm drinking and having a good time.

The Outpost is one of my favorite places. There is a very welcoming and drama free atmosphere among locals and staff. The owners are fantastic!!! The drinks are very reasonably priced and they're always stocked. There is always fun drink specials. And don't forget pool Friday!!! Definitely check out the Outpost when you get a chance.
