Good food. Fantastic burgers, awesome atmosphere. Most iconic stop on highway 50. Worth a special trip. Rumor has it if you set it up in advance they make a pretty awesome prime rib for your group too!
Cool place!!! We were driving from Yellowstone to San Francisco. Stopped to try the burgers. Because they knew that they had to order a burger here. And so, we are from Europe, from Latvia, from the city of Riga!!! Yo!!!
Wife and I drove 1 1/2 hrs to try the food at the Middlegate Station Bar and grill. I saw an Instagram post about how great it is. Well we were pretty disappointed. When we arrived there was about 10 to 15 people inside eating. We walked in and not one person greeted us or told us to seat ourselves. We sat at the bar and waited about 10 min before anyone even acknowledged we were sitting there. The place is pretty run down and definitely neglected. We both ordered a burger and fries which I must admit that it was just a run of the mill burger you can get just about anywhere and the fries were definitely made in old oil due to the color and taste. If you happen to be driving by on the way somewhere maybe stop but don’t recommend going out of your way to eat here.

We've travelled past this place several times on Highway 50 and always wanted to stop. We finally got to and had a great lunch last Saturday. The staff are friendly, food is great, and the place is very unique in a Highway 50 kind-of-way.
