We ordered catering from them for a whole weekend and they bailed at the last minute, leaving 20 people (including 11 kids) in a lurch. The first night, they came and refused to walk up the "dangerous hill" at our Airbnb that was filled with snow. While the hill was a surprise to us, our six year olds navigated all weekend. Then, they cancelled the next night, citing it was too far and wouldn't even deliver it to the bottom of thehill. They knew where the house was and snow shouldn't be a surprise to someone serving Tahoe.
I am gluten free and prefer options with fewer carbs. I like a good "country" breakfast with potatoes or hash browns on the side. The menu is very heavy toward biscuits, gravy, bread and potatoes. I was able to have an item modified somewhat (no corn tortillas), but the regular breakfast menu isn't very friendly to any of my needs. I was very hopeful that breakfast would be great, but without corn tortillas and all the items with lots of bread and carbs, I was disappointed... my husband said sausage tasted like hamburger. They catered a meal we had in Tahoe in the fall and it was fabulous.
Edit: I don't appreciate your unprofessional response. I've changed my overall rating from 4 to 3 because of it. As a professional, you should consider taking constructive comments and use them to make your restaurant more accommodating. I felt that letting future customers know what I saw on the menu was a helpful comment for others to know ahead of time. Just saying Thank You would be nice, especially in our small town.
As for the tortilla response, you serve a burrito. That's pretty Mexican. A pack of corn tortillas is a couple of bucks and it would be easy to have some on hand. I go lots of places that don't have something made of corn tortillas on the menu, but rarely have found a breakfast place without them. I was happy I was offered fruit in place of toast of some sort.
I did look over your online menu ahead of time. My husband really wanted to try your place out, so I figured I could get something modified. I am not gluten free by choice, I have celiac. I've never had a restaurant not be able to accommodate me. I'm sure there are "Okies" with celiac or who eat gluten free for some other reason. Wheat and other grains aren't like they used to be and it causes lots of issues in some people.
The sausage reply was uncalled for. My husband is very familiar with what good sausage is like, as he grew up with it.
I hope you succeed in this location. I've followed you on FB and know you've had some issues in town, but being defensive with your responses isn't very professional. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

Cocos N Moe's catered our holiday party this last weekend, and they were such a breath of fresh air! The food was delicious and they were very communicative and easy to work with. We absolutely plan to use them for our next company gathering and other functions!

Let me start off by saying the food is amazing at Cocos N Moe's. They definitely have a home cooking feel, and everything we ordered came in a huge quantity. The service at Cocos was excellent, and we were there on a Saturday morning. The chef, his wife, and the server we had were all extremely friendly. Definitely check out Cocos N Moe's and enjoy!!!

Went to have lunch on a day they were supposed to be open and a chalkboard sign said "closed today". Very disappointing since I have heard good things about them and wanted to try them. Another party in our group today had the same experience on another occasion. Will NOT go back. Be open when you advertise you are open! There are plenty of other restaurants to choose from. No wonder some small businesses don't make it!
My husband and I are a couple that prefer small mom and pop restaurants, over huge chains. We were in Tahoe for a weekend getaway, Cocos N Moes is located in our hotel parking lot, after looking at their site online, with their childhood photo and southern cookin menu, we were instantly intrigued. Walking in, the owners are there the greet you and chatting with their locals and pets, very welcoming and friendly. We were seated quickly followed by a quick drink order taken & brought to the table. After looking at the menu to order, my husband got the Cow N Sow, & I got the traditional 2 egg breakfast, crispy bacon of course. After the order was taken, server came out to double check my order to ensure it was made correctly. Food was brought to the table and it was so beautifully amazing , we were literally telling the server, that this meal looks so beautiful! Everything was FRESH & perfectly portioned. Not too much of one thing, not to little of anything either, I usually can’t finish my plates, and I was able to finish this one. Husbands meal was like a corn beef hash type plat, the meat was so delicious and tender, all items perfectly cooked. My plate had 2 over easy eggs, bacon potatoes, biscuits gravy, as well as added sour dough toast. So delicious. Before we finished we were already looking at what we wanted to order the next day. Unfortunately we had to take off back home before they opened, but we will be back!!! What really impressed me, they proudly post their PASSED health inspection grades in the window. I used to work in restaurants so that’s usually the first thing I look for when going into one. Their last inspection was 8/16/24, and they passed with an A! Not one cob web on any of the lighting or wall decor, chairs and tables were visibly clean, not sticky and gross. Keep up the GREAT WORK COCOS N MOES! You definitely deserve this review. ??

This place is a hidden gem. Excellent service and very accommodating to change up something on the menu. I highly recommend changing up a regular Benedict from ham to corned beef! We had an Irish Benedict in bay area and it was bomb! I was hoping that they could make something similar. The server said why not and they pulled it together! It was beyond awesome and so yummy! I wish it could be on the menu because we'd order it every time! Maybe they will have it after me ordering that way. They should call it the "Dezi benefit for all" Because it really is for all, for all of us to try! Lol! I absolutely loved this place! The only thing I'd change is the potatoes were bland and should be more crispy. Other than that, yum! Definitely going again! Highly recommended!
