Waitress stole from us.We all expect an expensive evening out on Valentine's Day, but apparently that still wasn't enough for the server. After receiving our check, as we often do, we paid for the meal with our credit card, ZERO'd out the tip line and tipped in cash. A week later I noticed the charge on my card was WAY higher than It should have been. The server took it upon herself to enter in an EXTRA $55 tip. I contacted the manger who confirmed there was a zero on the tip line and promptly refunded my stolen money. However his explanation fell short of convincing me that this could have been anything other than an egregious, deliberate theft. I wish I would have been convinced otherwise.

My visit was to the Ice House for a Sparkling Wine tasting. The Ice House is small, yet cozy and charming. The lead on service was knowledgeable and friendly. The wines were unique, bubbly, and refreshing. The tasting included some light appetizers which were not only delicious but also paired perfectly with each of the sparkling wines. After the tasting, we stuck around for some regular food. The Ice House does have a limited menu, however the flavors did not disappoint. We had the charcuterie board and the beef bourguignon. The charcuterie was diverse and wonderfully selected to compliment each other. The beef bourguignon had deep, rich flavors developed and included loads of meat. In addition to the sparkling wine, we had the Kyev mule, espresso martini, and the Prickly Pair Cadillac Margarita. All of the cocktails were well balanced.

The food is exceptional .Real French cousin. The aura of Paris. I highly recommend it.

Delicious food, kind, and personable staff with warm ambiance. My husband and I came here on a whim and were presently surprised by how delicious the food was. They have a well thought menu and I could taste the love and care made with each dish. Thank you for a wonderful dinner!

We ate here for the first time last night and it was amazing from start to finish. Cocktails, appetizers, entrees, and dessert were perfect. Our server was also super fun which makes for a great experience.

I don’t actually have a rating for Daniel’s because we didn’t make it in quite in time - just wanted to post the info that their last seating is actually at 7:45pm according to the hostess, despite the online reservation system showing reservation slots later than that and their phone service saying they’re open until 9pm.

We enjoyed an evening at Daniel's on Wednesday 9/20/23 and it was fantastic..We were seated shortly after we arrived (we did arrive a little early), had a very nice table for two overlooking a small garden area.We were advised who our two servers were going to be (and I am sorry I cannot remember their names) for the evening, and shortly after that, one came and introduced herself to us. We brought a bottle of wine from home, and she obtained glassware and got to opening the bottle for us :-)Over the course of the evening, we enjoyed Foie Gras, Truffle Chips, Warm Goat Cheese Salad, Soup Du Jour, Scallops & Risotto, Osso Buco, Pommes Frites, Blueberry Crisp, Meringue Bites (as I would call them). Everything was very tasty, served professionally and the presentation was very nice. The only item my wife mentioned is that her salad had more micro-greens than some type of greens with more 'substance' to them (chef's style ?), and could have used slightly more dressing. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening, service, and ambiance. This was the first time at Daniel's, but it will not be our last :-)

We were invited to dine with some friends from nearby Minden back in late August. They took us to Daniel's and I can say, without reservation, that it was one of the most exceptional dining experiences we've had in years. The ambiance, the service, and the food were all five star. Our server, Christina (sp?) was not only professional and informative about everything on the menu, but we found her to be refreshingly friendly and entertaining as well. We're really looking forward to our next opportunity to visit the Minden area and visit this gem of a restaurant again.

I took my husband here for his birthday because I heard good things. Perhaps management had changed because I did not find anything that would've caused me to rate this restaurant above 3 stars. The food was good but not great. Prices for main dish were between $38 -$55 for the most part and Al la cart. There was nothing special provided for birthday celebrations, (like most restaurants.) Ambiance was nice but no lit candles or interesting lighting. Felt more like French kitchen for a nice breakfast. But what really surprised me was when my husband requested an additional bread roll, the waiter told us only one bread roll per person was allowed!! Really?! He said he'd check buy came back to emphasize that yes, only one per person was allowed...For the prices they charge, you would think that they can have a few more bread rolls. I do not recommend.

Love this restaurant! Food is so good & service is excellent. This time we visited the bar in the other building & bartender was excellent & made the spritzer they used to have on the menu. Charcuterie tray is so good & my husband had the pizza (2 slices). Highly recommend.

Impeccable cocktails, wine list, food, service and ambiance. This might be the best restaurant I've ever been to. The fact that I came here 3 times in two weeks confirms this statement. Highly recommend making a reservation in advance if you'd like full service. But if you'd like more of a high-end cocktail experience, i'd recommend sitting at their bar or the ice house. Call in advance to confirm if the ice house is open.

Hidden gem in Genoa, Daniels feels like you walked into a cozy 19th century manor for dinner. The food is classical French- which means giant portions and hearty fare. I enjoyed the ambiance in quaint town at the foothills of the mountains. My duck was excellent- crispy tasty skin smothered in a delicious sauce. The apples in the dish paired perfectly sweet and tangy melt in your mouth to compliment the duck. I loved the foie gras appetizer it was an amazing bite every forkful with poached apples so tender, fatty and citrusy- heavenly! The drinks were also tasty- my lemon drop was so well balanced. Do not miss the creme brûlée- a deep hefty portion for two with energizing raspberries that help counterbalance the sweetness, a smooth creamy and perfect custard! The only pitfalls of the dinner was the cordon blue chicken a little boring and dry and the warm goat cheese salad was less salad more goat cheese, the most wispy empty type of greens with a round, small goat cheese didn't make for a very filling or imaginative dish. Overall super happy with the experience and will keep coming back for the incredible foie gras, creme brûlée and top notch service and atmosphere!

We really were looking forward to dinner here for a significant birthday, but, sadly, we were disappointed by the food. First, though, the place is lovely, small and intimate, with very few tables inside. The food, though, was okay, not outstanding. In particular, my duck breast was thinly sliced, which meant it was medium-to-well-done. I should have asked, but assumed it would be a duck breast, not slices. The osso bucco was good, though. Bottom-line it took us 45 minutes to get there, since we live in Stateline, and there are comparable restaurants near us. Service was very good.

Be careful. Some reviews are good but you never know if friends posted them. $55 sea bass. Had bones and was tasteless. $16 salad. Yuck. Tasteless and a rip off. Female server: indignant and snobby.. Horrible experience.

We began with cocktails in the adjacent Ice House which were delicious. We had dinner in the main dining room. Our two appetizers were escargot and seared faux gras both very good. Our entrees were wild boar tenderloin and duck breast. Yum!
