Genoa Bar and Saloon Reviews
Having a beer at the oldest continually operating saloon in Nevada was a must-do after a 9-mile hike in the area. The staff was super friendly, beer was frosty, and our small group was joined by a group of locals and we enjoyed a lovely and lively conversation. The history of the place is also incredible. From photos, to stories, to actually seeing Raquel Welch's bra... I mean, what could be a better way to spend a day?

The Genoa Bar and Saloon is a historic establishment located in the oldest town in Nevada. This unique, old-time bar has remained largely unchanged for over a century, with a worn bar counter and a friendly bartender serving classic drinks like Budweiser and Maker's whiskey. The pastrami sandwiches are a must-try for lunch. The bar also features a fascinating antique mirror from the 1860s, known as the "Diamond dust" mirror, which has a story of its own. Visitors can experience the rich history and gritty ambiance of this hidden gem, surrounded by cowboy paraphernalia and old Western-style decor. The service is fun and friendly, and the drinks, including the Lavendar Lemon Fizz, are interesting and refreshing. With reasonable prices and an ice-cold draft beer, the Genoa Bar and Saloon offers a glimpse into Nevada's past, making it a must-visit destination for those who appreciate historic bars and the charm of the Old West.
